How do you think he would play? Do you think he would have all the best moves?
I personally have a two-way thinking on this. I beleive that the only reason Liu Kang was such a good fighter is because John Tobias created him and was probably his favorite charecter, but sence hes left thye might have programmed him to be just a filler. (but they went with dead)
Or they would just go with the story and make him a great fighter, basically because hes the hero of the story.
Oh and speaking of hero's who do you think won MK:DA?

Did Tobias ever really say Kang was his favourite? I had always assumed it was Sub-Zero but I could be wrong.
Judging from the small intro Kang's style reminds me of jeet kune do, which would have fitted him nice (it's also the style of Law in Tekken, and Law is, like Kang in MK, the game's Bruce Lee).
I was quite glad to see Liu Kang, Shao Kahn and Goro disappear, not because I hated them (they all still had storyline potential except perhaps Liu Kang who had become too predictable) but because it left more room for other storylines and new characters to take over.
Eventually I believe that if the MK franchise continues, all old characters will be replaced one by one. They can't keep on fighting till they're hundred years old ;). Jax is already in his fourties and Sonya is in her mid-thirties, for example. Cage, too, is in his late thirties.
Some could stay forever, of course, like Raiden or Cyrax, or Quan Chi. And the line of Sub-Zeros will somehow be perpetuated too I suppose. 'Nough immortals around!
As to who might have won MK:DA, this was already discussed in a seperate thread but my best bet is Kung Lao or Sub-Zero.

And Mortal Kombat without Scorpion isn't the same, but I guess that, since he is a spectre and spectres can't die he always be in the future Mortal Kombat tournaments.

I guess that Ed's favorite is Scorpion while John's favorite is Sub-Zero.

I think it has always been obvious what style Kang would get. Jeet Kune Do because he's basicly a Bruce Lee rip-off(or homage if you'd like), and just look at his animality. Dragon of course is his second style. His weapon would be a straight sword(hey, Shangalang stole it...who knows how many fighting styles he got from Kang).
Another possibility is the style of Wing Chun.

I think that woudl kind a suck. Imagine a new Mk with all the originals gone leaving just a few....that would be kind a stupid. And as for who won, I highly doubt it was Sub-Zero, probably Kung Lao for he had his reason (Liu) that was shown in a very strong way, Sub on the other hand, didnt really care.
Back to teh question, I think Liu would had gotten a Kung Fu style or something. I beleive it would had been very cool to see him in MKDA, I mean, LOOK AT THE GAME, playing as Liu Kang might had been awsome....but then again, Im happy he died.

Jeet Kune Do is pretty much a given. Then maybe either Dragon or Shaolin Fist. As for his weapon, maybe a straight sword, actually I find it a little hard to imagine Kang with a weapon at all.
And personally I think Kang has storyline potential even now that he's dead- perhaps more so than when he was alive. I think Shang Tsung (if he's alive) should try to resurrect Kang as an evil warrior as the ultimate weapon against both the Earth warriors and the Dragon King. But Kang's soul is too pure to be made evil so he becomes basically a lost soul, trying to learn the truth of his past and his role in life.

I seriously hope not to see Liu again. It would be EXELENT to PLAY AS HIM IN MK6, but meaning nothing....just like an extra character who is supposed to be dead, no ending, no story. Just play as him!
