Hate is a strong word, but I've never liked Cage in any of the games, not once from 1-DA. It had something to do with his story, like you said - it sucks - and has gone stale now. I don't think his look has changed much at all over the course of the games either, and I never liked his original look. Finaly, he has been in too many games for me, I think that he was only missing from MK3?? Therefore had many more opportunities for me to build up my resentment. There are only a few fighters in Mk that I don't play with, and Johnny is always one of 'em.

Cage is badass, I only dislike his story and his tuxedo outfit.

I just find Cage to be a pointless character. His story sucks, and his character seems to have a big ego. I don't like that. Plus I don't like rich pretty-boys.

However, like krsx66, I did like him in the first MK movie. He had some funny lines.

Another thing people don't like about him is that he was killed then resurrected like nothing ever happened. That was pretty stupid.
I personally am indifferent to Johnny Cage. I don't like him, but he doesn't bother me either.

Johnny Cage is bad ass. He would of been one of my favorites in Deadly Alliance, but for PS2 I am not sure for the XBOX but he has a glitch in his nunchuch combo. The last swing does not move into contact so it leaves Cage wide open for an attack. It has nothing to do with the character but he has a big time glitch in his combo.

I've only ever played the ps2 version and it's the same, i just don't get it . Seems completly pointless to swing the weapon beheind his back and be wide open for an attack for a second or so.

If it wasn't for the poster at the end of Johnny Cage's ending, he would have been a total loss in MK:DA
