MAT stands for Midway Arcade Treasures. It is a compilation of Midway's greatest arcade hits of the past. There are two of them at the moment. One is out now, and the second MAT, which includes Mortal Kombats 1, 2, 3, and Primal Rage, will be released in October of this year.

MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It is a program designed to run over 4000 arcade classics on your PC (including the classic Mortal Kombats). You can find more information on it at www.mame.com.

First of all, what's in the MAT1? Second of all, is Primal Rage a fighting game like Mortal Kombat? And my last question is: Are the MATs actual arcade games or are they for the PC or a console?

As the title implies, Midway Arcade Treasures is a port of the original arcade versions of Midway's greatest games of the past. Everyone here is looking forward to arcade perfect ports of MK1, MK2, and MK3 on the second MAT which will be released in October.

Okay since I don't find any of those games interesting I'll besure NOT to get the MAT1, but just the MAT2. I can't thank you enough though for clearing all that up for me though.
