Where do You Play MK? (Not Home-Consoles)
I own some machines.
Dedicated MK cabinet with a revision 3 board.
Dedicated MK II cabinet with a revision 3.1 board.
Dedicated MK4 cabinet with a revision 3 board.
UMK3 revision 1.1 board and marquee I can install in the MK4 cabinet. Eventually I'll get a dedicated MK3 cabinet to complete the collection.
I have some other machines(like SF Alpha 3, Tekken Tag and KI2) too.

I took a Street Farter 2 stand up arcade machine and converted it into my Mame machine. It wasn't hard at all, Just need is a good PC system W/ Mame and games, 25 inch PC Monitor, X-arcade 2 player controllers and your set to go!
All the games in one machine including KI 1 & 2 with Ultrahle! Also, all consoles with the right emulators and games
Talk about the ultimate gaming system!

Yeah, that's why I've never just got it.
Do you know if it's possible to easily install KI1 into a KI2 cabinet? Like could I use the same harddrive?
When KI2 was Brand New, I remember Newspaper Ads Claiming they could Upgrade KI to KI2.

I do the emu thing. But a Mamemachine would be awesome. MK2KungBroken wants me to build him one and hopefully I can soon. It seems like a lot of fun to have one.

More like upper middle class.
I got them just over the years from various places. Like I just got the TTT machine from the local arcade who didn't want it anymore.
You can pick up cabinets with games like street fighter 2, mk1, any older 6 button game real cheap and convert it into any game you want depending on the jamma harness that the game has. For later games that require digital stereo sound you need a more up to date cabinet with digital stereo sound built in otherwise its a pain to add it to an older cabinet. All it takes is a little rewiring for each game, depending on the button layout, and you have an actual working arcade system. Before I built my Mame cabinet I had bought a Fighters Instinct 6 button Arcade cabinet for $75.00 at the local swap and shop. I took it home and it played just fine other than being a crapy game
I then went to Ebay and picked up MK 1,2 and 3 pcb boards. I had pluged MK1 into the jamma harness on the cabinet and it worked up fine but the button configuration was all wrong. So, next I ordered a manual for MK1 and wired from the board to the buttons the right configuration so MK1 played perfectly! Now, I tried MK2 and while it came on and played fine, I had no sound what so ever. I then ordered the manual for MK2 and found out I needed a digital stereo set-up for the cabinet and since pretty much all games that came out after 1993 were digital, and to convert my cabinet to digital was way more than I wanted to spend I decided to sell it all and go the Mame route. So, the point of the story is if you want to play actual arcade games be sure to get a later date (post 1993) cabinet otherwise be prepared to pay out the bum for upgrades! Sorry it too so long with this message but I just wanted to help someone out if they are going this route

finding a dedicated MK3 cabinet is hard, the easiest way to get one is to buy a UMK3 cabinet and downgrade the UMK3 pcb board to an original MK3 board and buy a MK3 marquee.

That's a dream to own MK1-MK4 arcade cabinets maybe one day I will once I get a bigger house.

I regulary make 450 per week (except the winter season), so sometime this year or next year I may purchase Mortal Kombat II and Mortal Kombat 4 arcades.
I'm fed up with all the MK4s on consoles and I want to relive my young days again by having the real, true Mortal Kombat II.
Those will stay in my room.
