mk2 was pretty hard, but mk 1 was a beast once you got to endurance. regular mk 3 was much easier, umk3 was hard due to once again, endurance. those are my hardest

MKM:SZ! Man, I had trouble w/ those bosses back in the day...

But for the regular games, MK2 was probably the toughest for me. MK1 also was difficult at the time, the endurances & Goro were hard...and Shang's fireballs!

But Kintaro and Kahn were a bitch, as were Motaro and Kahn in MK3.

MK4 and DA had weak bosses, and MKD is staking a claim for having one of the toughest bosses (4 me anyways) w/ the DK - I've only beaten him w/ Liu Kang + Kobrasad

see the only reason mk2 wasn't harder for me, though it's damn hard, is because back in the day, i went to my local arcade, and there were always 50 people around 2 different mk2 machines. at first , i never even knew what it was like to play the game through, cause it was nonstop vs games. however, one dude lost, and the other kept going playing against the comp cause everyone wanted to see if he could beat the game. sure enough, with kitana and her corner fan lift, punch, fan throw repeat combo, he beat the game with no continues. ever since that day, i've used kitana to get through the game, still having to continue a few times, but beat it non the les. though, if you want to see anyone elses endings, then thats where it gets uber hard. anyone else other than kitana get their asses handed to them. though i've done it with everyone, it was no easy task.
