Ermac: He has telekinetic abilities, and thousands of souls of warriors in him. Rain has virtaully nothing, Smoke has Smoke, Noob has well, nothing anymore, Subby has ice(which is close) and all scorpion can do is have rev revenge.

In terms of the MK story, yes. However, the ironic thing is that despite being the only actual Ninja in the MK story, he acts like the complete opposite of one.

Scorpion - Shirai Ryu (Ninja clan started by Lin Kuei traitor, Takeda using stolen Lin Kuei secrets)

Sub-Zero - Lin Kuei who is of Cryomancer descent.

Smoke - Lin Kuei

Shujinko - Lin Kuei, inactive as he only used them to steal their secrets

Noob Saibot - Ex-Lin Kuei who was a descendant of the Cryomancers

Reiko - Brotherhood of the Shadow member/Kahn minion who wore a Lin Kuei/Shirai Ryu outfit for some reason

Reptile - Zaterran/Saurian wearing a Lin Kuei/Shirai Ryu outfit for some reason

Ermac - Combination of warrior souls wearing a Lin Kuei/Shirai Ryu outfit for some reason(If you count the UMK3 suit as a ninja suit)

Rain - Edenian half-god wearing a Lin Kuei/Shirai Ryu outfit for some reason(If you count the UMK3 suit as a ninja suit)

How do you know one of the souls that makes up Ermac wasn't a ninja?
Chameleon has all of Scorpion's ninjitsu abilities so I think he's qualified as well.

However, the real question here is "Which of these pallette-swaps is the best?"

Would Kitana Mileena Jade and Khameleon qualify as ninjas,or just assasins.

I think MK's concept of female ninja / kunoichi, has changed drastically over the years. During the classic MK era (from 92 to around 96 or so), the femal ninja were Kitana, Mileena, Jade and Khameleon, but with these later games, things have changed.

MKDA featured a different version of Kitana, one that pushes the character into the steriotypicall status of Warrior Princess. With these later games, the female ninja have all changed their styles, and so, went far from what can be called a steriotypicall video game ninja character.

- Kitana now fits much better the status of steriotypicall warrior princess;
- Mileena has evolved into something like an arabian style themed femme fatale assassin;
- Jade can be considered a steriotypicall Amazon warrior;
- and Khameleon was just wasted. Sadly, because she had some potential, although she was asking for her own signature moves.

Right now, the only female character i consider to belong to the video game ninja image in MK is Frost.
