Do you mean like MKT for PSX vs MK3 for the arcade? There is already a MKT for psx vs MK3 for psx discussion like 10 pixels away from this.

Babalities were in MK2 as well.

I think MKT is better because the gameplay is a lot more advanced and there are a lot more characters. The real competition would be between UMK3 and MKT since they both have strengths and weaknesses. I think UMK3 still wins out because its less broken and has better graphics.

i agree. but didnt MKT and UMK3 have the same number of people and types of Fatalites? How would you compare that?

i agree umk3 was a better game all the way around.

MKT had a lot of characters that UMK3 didn't.
Johnny Cage, Rain, playable Noob Saibot, Baraka, MK1 and MK2 raiden, MK1 Jax, MK2 Kung Lao (deadly), MK1 Kano, plus shao kahn, goro, kintaro, and motauro playable.

Plus, for a bunch of the characters there were new moves in MKT. Sindel has a double fireball, Kano has a crazy cannonball that bounces around the screen, stryker has a double grenade, Kung Lao can move while spinning and has a double teleport, and then old characters have new things as well, MK2 Kung Lao has the superman move, Baraka spins with his blades sticking out, MK1 Kano spins his blades around in a circle, MK1 raiden can do superman in air, MK2 raiden can do reverse electricity, firing it off the screen and it comes back on the other side.

That said, MKT is also very broken compared to UMK3. It also doesn't have as high quality graphics and its musics are sped up a bit.

So, more content but more broken gameplay and poorer graphics or the good graphics and gameplay but fewer characters. I still lean towards the better gameplay of UMK3 myself.
