who do u play with in MK4/Gold?

i dont play as any one since ive not played either. well ive played MK4 once and played as Reptile that 1 time and from that one time playing i couldnt stand playing it again. i personally think a lot of the costumes in the game look dumb (Baraka, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, and even Liu Kang all look dumb imo to name a few.) also i hate invisible walls. plus i owned a N64 back then and i heard that it didnt have all the stuff the PS1 version did. plus i just couldnt stand the N64 controller to play fighters on. every thing just seemed wrong for me then. although now id like to find a PS1 copy to play on my PS2.
