In gameplay terms depends on the game, MK2 Smoke, MK3 (if you count robo smoke and unmasked sub) then Sub Zero
UMK3 I'd say Human Smoke over masked or unmasked sub.

If you mean Human Smoke against MK1's Sub-Zero in a fair fight, it would be Sub-Zero. However, in an unfaur fight, more than likely Human Smoke since MK1's little brother would more than likely side with his friend over his older brother's evil soul. Yet, I'm saying Sub-Zero.

Both are excellent fighters, but I'll go for elder Sub Zero, he's beat four gods, as well as human Scorpion, and the first battle between himself and Spectre Scorpion, it's a shame Scorpion got to him eventually in MK1.
If he got the Dragon Medallion I think he would have been more powerful than what his little brother is with it now.
