Every Developer is bringing back the old 2D fighters and putting them online. All the Original Street fighters, the King of Fighters, Guilty Gear will all be online the same time MAT2 is released. But for some INSANE reason Midway isn't! They are making a huge mistake and could sell so much more if they did.
I am more than willing to pay $39.99(double) for it if it was online and I know alot of people here would to. Just the basic online play would be fine, we don't need nothing fancy.
If you would pay double if it was online, post your name here. If enough people respond, we can send Midway a link and let them know how many people are interested! It isn't coming out until October so there is still time, even if it took longer to be released it would still be worth the wait considering MK: Deception will be out.

Sadly, Midway will do whatever it wants to do no matter what we say, all the things they do that seem like fan service are things that are particularly strong willed requests from all over the place.
I would LOVE to see old school MK get some serious netplay usage, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Well don't be so quick to dismiss it.
The Xbox version IS LIVE ENABLED! It supports online scoreboards, so the game already is capable of connecting to the online service. All they would need to do is implement online multiplayer. It will take longer but they still have 4 months, and even if it took 6 months, I would wait.

I watched the interview. It just stated that it will be Xbox LIVE compatable so you can upload your high scores and that's it.
Right now the game is not online multiplayer.
