Why are the shadows different in MKII Arcade and SNES???

In the Arcade they are solid black. But in the SNES version they are trasnparent. Why?

Because the SNES is a 16 bit console....

there was a HELL of a lot of things changed in all the arcade to console releases....why is this such an important question?

The programmers of the SNES version decided to change things based on how well they could port the game. They made shadows transparent because they could. Same wit the Pit II. Knock someone off and they used Mode 7 to make the floor twist up as your player fell.
