I think they ran out of stage identifiers. Like, each stage has a number from 1 to 16 or something along those lines. They added enough that they ran out of numbers and had to either not add one of their new levels or cover up an old level by stealing it's identifier.

yeah they took the bank stage out of the arcade version but it still remains in the sega genesis version.

but in the sega genesis version they took out the bell tower and the graveyard.

For the home consoles stuff is missing because they didn't have space for it.

It had the best music aswell, but Jade's Desert used it so it wasn't all bad.

but in the arcade version, the graveyard is there, and the bell tower too.
my favourite stages of all UMK3 versions are the Balcony, and the Temple.

Really?The balacony is your fav one??Wow,ok mine was the graveyard and btw just so anyone knows,I really wanted that stage back in MKA but nooo they put the subway stage in which was so boring cause it was to dark you couldnt see much around you.Oh and the street and balacony stage would of been cool to see in 3D.

I always looved the Balcony, it has that dark misterious look, and in the background you can see candles burning in the darkness, and that hole in the ground, that lets you see a bit of light freom the soul chamber... awesome.

Ohh yeah dude I agree, that would be sick. The subway was awesome, looked so New Yorkish or Chicagoish lol but was fun.

The balcony would look nice, it would have to have a death trap, fall or pit something though.

Jade's Desert appears in the line where the Bank would when it gets to the MK3 stages. It uses the Bank's music at that point and it also uses the Roof Top music the first time you play on it.
