Gameanator has a point. I thought they would have found out something about the final secret or at least some good info on MK6. Is that too much to ask? I dont think so.

Maybe they did ask and just got nothing out of the Midway people.

MK6 isn't due out until the end of 2004 and MK: DA has only been out in the US about 6 months, obviously they want gamers to concentrate more on MK: DA and not concern themselves too much with MK6 yet, it's still a long way off after all...let's face it. For these reasons...

1. There is no "final secret" in MK: DA
2. Midway aren't releasing any more info on MK6 aside from what has already been mentioned. They are very much keeping MK6 under wraps.

Personally I think it's a good thing. I feel that the more time that Midway takes to bring the game out, the better it will be. But I do believe that this topic is in the wrong forum, I think it should be in the MK6 forum.

There are three rules for doing scientific research. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.

I also think there is *no* final secret.

And perhaps, like the little boy said in the Matrix: "there is no spoon" meaning there is no MK6 yet, not even close, so what could they possibly tell the public hmm?

We already know about the final secret. The final secret is the version code.
MK5.Org News Archive - April 4
With all the controversy and speculation concerning the existence of a version code and a final secret, we contacted Ed Boon, co-creator of Mortal Kombat and lead programmer for Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alliance, to see if he could shed any light on the situation. His answer:

"The version code in MKDA IS in there. I was not the programmer who put it in and I am sure that it was never intended to be discovered. Off the top of my head I don't think I can remember what the code is..."

So, at this time, the existence of the version code can be confirmed. However, Ed's answer indicates that this may or may not be the final secret mentioned during the Fight Night chat. At this point, we'll leave it for the fans to decide.

Our thanks to Ed Boon for taking the time out from his busy schedule to provide an answer for us!
