I'm fairly sure this will be to compensate for a lack of online play. Nintendo has been very adament that they dont believe online console gaming is the future and will not support it on the cube and probably not even on the Revolution (their next gen console). They will probably get battle features like 2v2/tag battle that 4 players can use to compensate for a lack of Online play. New characters would be surprising, and jealousy inspiring for an xbox owner :)

Congrats Jax007!!! Havik looks so badass. I think he may be my new favorite character. Hope his moves are kickass. *fingers crossed*

Yeah that's Havik's alt. At least judging by the e3 select screen. I don't remember the helmet appearing.

Agreed. Havik is up there as one of the coolest new additions to MK:D. So far the least impressive to me is Darrius (at least in design), ashrah's 2nd outfit is pretty tight as well.

Exactly. That was the pic everyone was having the Shao Kahn debate about. Looks like it's cleared up now.

Well, people argued for pages and pages that it was Shao Kahn. But Jax007 took one look at that picture, said "It's Skab's alternate", never backed down and has been proven absolutely right.

Anyone see the picture of (Dairou?) giving Smoke a good kick? You can see better that Smoke has, erm, smoke coiling around inside his body.

And Ashrah's altenate outfit is really sexy and understated- very classy.

As for the whole MKD on GC- to be honest, I'm a little annoyed. All I have is a GC, but planning to buy an Xbox (for MKD plus a couple of games that won't make it to GC), so the idea that I'd be better off waiting another 5 months for something "extra" really is irritating.

It makes me wonder if young Shujinko could possibly be a third costume.
