MK Gold was kind of shitty. Do you not remember watching the sad animations to Baraka's fatalities? Or just about any of them?
Or how about the lazy fatality ideas they gave Mileena.

I want that game to stay burried and forgotten. I'd rather see MK4 (an Arcade perfect version with elements of the home versions included). At least they did the original game some justice. MKG was rushed and total slop. But If they do choose to slap in MKG, I'd expect improvements or I'll say "fuck the collector's edition" just like I did with MKA.

Well if they had MK Gold updated or revamped, then it could work out I suppose.

I'm a big hater of Double-Dip DVDs... and games for that matter. Nothing pisses me off more than spending $50-60 for a game only to have it rereleased later on with additional content (Silent Hill 2, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Virtua Fighter 4, I'm looking at you.) If you're going to rerelease the game, let the fans know about it in advance, like movie directors Guillermo Del Toro and Peter Jackson do whenever they're releasing a DVD. They make sure the fans don't feel screwed over.

Okay, that's one thing, but continuing on....

A collector's edition really needs to be special to make me want to spend that extra money. A crummy collection of trailers, a few pictures, and maybe a demo of some game doesn't cut it. I look at the collector's edition of Mass Effect or Halo 3, and those are filled with behind-the-scenes stuff, commentaries, concept art galleries, glossaries, and even mini-games, special movies, and fan tributes.

MK's certainly got the legacy to do that. While you don't need to rehash some things, I really did appreciate a lot of the Krypt content, but I feel a lot of it could've just been included as a free bonus. But seeing stuff like the Mythologies bloopers, Cooking with Scorpion, and some interesting early concept art of fan favorite characters never gets old.
