It seems that I'm unable to get a ping rating from about 25% of the users online. I'm assuming this is because my opponent can't get my router's ping rating. I tried unenabling the "block ping" option on my router settings, but no change.

If I unintentionally disconnect with an opponent, am I awarded a loss? If I quit during the game, am I awarded both a loss and a disconnect? If somebody challenges me, and my connection craps out, am I the one who gets the demerit?

Basically I want to take every precaution possible to avoid disconnections and the like. Anything else I might need to know?

You don’t get a ping rating because the servers are that bad. If you or your opponent quits you both get a disconnect. If your opponent pulls his Ethernet cable from his ps2 you both get a disconnect. You just don’t get a loss or a win. For the most part don’t worry about what the numbers or rank. It all means nothing.

Wow that simple eh? Guess I shouldn't worry too much about this then. The star ratings of the pings don't seem to make a difference. 90% of the time my connection is impeccable, but every now and then it'll lag to the point of a disconnection.

Thank you.
