Well, we've all learned one thing from the MK series. Every single character has an eternal soul.

No matter what, no one ever dies or stays dead. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

That's a good thing as far as I'm concerned... it means that we get to have our favourite characters come back no matter wether they died or not in previous games...

have you ever noticed that mortal kombat is the only fighting game ever made that has a legitimate storyline, and one that ppl actually debate for hours and hours day in day out?

just thought that was odd, and that mk is better than other fighters.

Yeah, I noticed that too.

Well, Tekken and SOul Blade ain't far behind when it comes to that too.

TRIVIA: There is not a single Mortal Kombat character that hasn't been in every MK game made (including MKSF and MKM).

But, if you count only fighting games, the only character to be in every single revision, port, and version of every fighting Mortal Kombat game.....that would be only one character: Sub-Zero.

Well a soul would be eternal. As far as bringing back characters from the dead... I guess it would be a part of a mythological story bassed game. And second, how many characters offically died? Many times endings may say defeated... but even then endings are usally either half true or have not truth. Sub-zero (5th), Lui Kang, Johnny Cage, are the only ones that come to mind, there are probbly others though.
