This message shouldn't be needed but I guess it is.
As you've probably already notice mostly everybody in this forum is looking for secret characters which will inevitably exist in MK: Deception, and when November 5th comes we will ALL be looking for them. We all know that you don't believe that there are more than 24 characters in MK: Deception when everything points towards a different direction so all I need to say is the following:
Be polite and keep your thoughts to yourself, don't spoil the others experience. We want to look for secret characters, we will look for secret characters no matter what you say, and it's extremely annoying when we're trying to help each other to read someone posting "THERE ARE NO SU IN THIS GAME" messages every now and then. Please, have a proper level of education. Even if there are no Super Unlockables (or secret characters or whatever you call them) we still want to keep searching and speculating. Why? Because this is our idea of fun. We love searching for secrets and we love speculating and this is why Mortal Kombat is and always will be bigger than Tekken or Virtua Fighter (I did say bigger, not better), because it has this mystery around it that those games don't have, and we all love it.
There are already numerous proof that there are secret characters in Deception, including the interview I swear to have read/seen with Ed Boon where he clearly said all characters from DA would be in Deception with their DA models. I've posted this before but I cannot find this interview nor provide proof that it exists but when time comes and those characters are found, I won't need proof. There is already another post with files that are present in the DVD that include costumes and alternate costumes for all characters in DA that weren't used in Deception that seems to justify this theory, so I probably haven't dreamt about that damn interview nobody seems to know about. By the way, this would be the very first Mortal Kombat fighting game without secret characters if it didn't have any. Remember that.
Remember the old debate about Dragon King is Reptile. There were a number of evidence that Dragon King was using Reptile's body and still there were nine hudred thousand guys on this forum that pretended they didn't see that evidence and that it was false. It is now clearly proven to be true.
Just because you seem to be skeptical about everything doesn't make secrets unexistant. Please, let us find those secrets without your annoying posts.
Thank you, and good luck findind a way to unlock all the secret characters waiting for us.

dude you took the thoughts i had and put them into words, your like a freakin confucius good stuff man everyone listen to his post it has true wisdom in it if you ever saw it.
There isnt a reason to post that there arent super unlockables because they are SECRETS and yet to be unlocked. its impossible to prove that there are none unless the developers all confirm that there are none. on the other hand there are plenty of ways to prove there are superunlockables because they are there if they are! its common sense that you cannot prove something like that so i got your back on this one man..anyone that argues with this is an idiot. oh ya good job on making it so theres no being biased or anything wink

Go ahead, as long as you're having fun while doing it it's ok, it should be ok, and no one should tell you not to do it if that's what makes you happy. Even if you know for sure Ermac isn't in MK2 grin

I have no problem with any body searching for these characters that aren't there, as long as they don't bother me with it. But, as someone who talks very seriously the idea of PROOF, I have come to realize that none of the jackasses on this forum have any idea what proof is. A proof is the "The evidence or argument that compels the mind to accept an assertion as true." Now, maybe I'm just finding fault with what your minds are believing, but I've seen some total bullshit pass off as proof here on these forums. i try to keep my place and have only responded once that there are no super--- horny toads, I won't use that damn word! But frankly, to pass off something as inane as "LOOKEEE!!!!1!! I farted and created a Rorshach stain in my undergarments that looked like Sektor!!1!! It's proof he's in the game! Oh boy; oh boy."
Common sense tells us that these characters that are improbable at best are not going to PROOF positive in the game because you see them in Konquest, because there is a glitch in the Krypt, because you smoke too much peyote, et al. STOP TYPING in CAPS. and STOP using the word PROOF, when you have nothing but an unproven theory or gushing comment to make. It's distracting and it's silly. If you want to gush, say I'm a gushing fanboy, deal with me! But, with people making up crap on the fly about Motaru flying out of Shujinko's butt at 2AM on 2/11/92, you have to help tone down the stupid crap. So, please, don't invite people into your thread by overstating and false advertising. It sucks. And it's your fault if you get flamed.

For me, the looking for secrets in ANY MK game was what made it enjoyable. Sure, finding a gem was great, but if I found nothing I still enjoyed the act of looking. The two long-winded posts put it best on both sides of the fence.
Let's look at it realistically... The people claiming there are super-secret-unlockables can't prove it. The people saying there are none can't prove it.
Simply put, I'm enjying this game to the hilt, and Konquest is going to probably get 2 or 3 run throughs from me. Seems everytime I go fartin' about through the realms, I find something new.
Now then, I'm beginning to wonder how many nay-sayers are going to be proven wrong, and then try to take credit if something is found?
I'll keep lookin' for odds and ends, long after everyone has "proven" there are or aren't... and to me, THAT'S replay value.tongue

how can you say there is no proof that there are no super unlockables?
i think the lack of evidence supporting the opposite theory is proof enough

"Super Unlockables" are almost assuredly a myth made up by Boon so people would continue playing a game that they otherwise would most likely get bored of incredibly quickly. It's the video game equivalent of the Sasquatch.

Very good post.
There's nothing wrong with trying to find secrets in the game. There is, however, something wrong with deliberately spreading misinformation about it on the forums. It's a fine line, but it's there. And if I see a post that looks like nothing more than an attempt to work up controversy or confusion with false evidence about the game, I'm going to delete it.
This isn't directed at anyone in particular, just a general warning to people who think it's cute to post fake directions to unlock Character X and swear up and down that it's true.

Awesome post.
As I say, everyone has the right to think whatever they please. But IF you don't agree with there being SUs in the game, then just DON'T check the threads regarding that matter.
I agree with ya man, if you wanna check and search for SUs, that's awesome. And to those that think diffrently, just DON'T bother the ones discussing their findings.

There are already pictures of DA characters in MK: Deception in another thread so I guess this proves my point on the DA characters part.
Anyway, now that we have pictures - I know people who don't believe there are secrets will say they are fake/manipulated - I guess we can reach a consensus and we can all work for the same.
By the way, I wasn't trying to say that it's fine to spread false rumours, because there are some serious BS posts in this forum that are completely avoidable in my opinion, I was merely trying to say that if people have fun searching for secrets and discussing them, then they should be able to do it without annoying interference from people who don't want to search for secrets.
Finding a cloud that looks like Sektor isn't proof, that's for sure, but everywhere in life we have to cope with people that just exagerate or aren't smart enough to distinguish what can be a hint to a secret or what is just a quirk or merely pure fabrication. Making all caps posts with the text "THERE ARE NO SUPER UNLOCKABLES JUST GET ON WITH YOUR LIVES" isn't the answer either. For sure that it doesn't hurt anyone, but it's annoying and doesn't contribute a lot to this forum or to the thread in question as well. If it's to post useless messages, why post?
