I have read through most of the posts in this forum and many of you have brought up Boon said this and Boon said that. It seems that noone can say where they read this and that. But, I am a newbie so forgive me if this has been pointed out before. In the last Gamepro review of the game, (Issue with Dragonball Z: Budokai 3 on the cover) Ed Boon mentioned there were 12 characters, 12 more unlockable, and THEN some more super-unlockable characters long after you beat the game. Now, I am not qouting him verbatim, but that is the basic concept. I know many of you think Fight Night disproved all previously released info, but after reading the transcript, I believe Boon and the rest used Fight Night to confuse everyone, (and quite successfully I might add). Now, I don't have any bone-head theories, though I believe the only thread even close to finding something is the one with over 700 posts about cracking these "anonimously released" codes. But, I want to encourage everyone to keep searching! It's a fun game so keep having fun. I have beaten konquest, arcade mode, and opened all the krypt coffins, (except that damn WQ!) and I am still playing whether I find something or not. Keep up the good work codecrackers, and thank you MKO for providing this forum for fans of the greatest fighting franchise in the world to come together and share all their interesting and often-times frightening Mortal Kombat experiences. wow

That has been pointed out many many times. Its one of the sources where we got the information that there were more than 24 characters.
Then Fight Night came and we were told there were no more characters and no more puzzle fighters.

I really wanted to create a thread that was entitled: "A message to the SU yay-sayers" wherein it would simply read: shut up
this issue has been discussed to death, with a million-some threads and counting. You do realize you just contradicted yourself in your post right? You said that the people who don't believe in SU's take what Boon said, live on Fight Night, yet you take Boon's word from a quote of a gaming magazine...
that's not what bothered me though... this is what bothered me: every idiot with a mouth can voice his opinion; freedom of speech and all that jazz... but just because you have an opinion ("I think that there are super-unlockables") doesn't mean you have to create a thread so everyone can read that you agree with what someone else said a month ago.
Personally, I think we've found everything in Deception, and should just accept it as is... anybody remember the Version Code for DA? n00bies probably won't
Thus, until anyone has any evidence proving or disproving the existence of SUs, there isn't any point in making a thread about it.
And so, I wanted to make a thread just to flame the hell out of this one, but exercised self-restraint. But I have no doubt, that my rant will go unnoticed as this thread fades to the back of the pages, and another SU thread pops up, weeks, maybe days after this.

The only proof anyone has about their not being any SU's is Fight Night. From Fight Night the only thing Howell use as proof was that things change since May. Now this is an almost new Magazine which means it was written in late Augest-September. That's only about a month before the game came out. Things don't change in that time.

The fact of the matter is, it's this kind of attitude that made me post this in the first place. This is a great game set up to have endless possibilites. It is a game and it is supposed to be FUN. Part of that FUN, is the mystery factor. This kind of attitude can ruin the experience for people who haven't even played the game. You, and the others like you are missing the point of my post. Most of us, even the "SU nay-sayers" are still playing the game, right? Well, for what reason? To see the same thing over and over again? I really don't think so. Let the people who are searching keep searching. Where' s the fun in not searching? There's evidence on both sides of the argument, most of it coming from the evil mastermind Ed Boon himself. This flaming business just doesn't seem to be doing any good for the forum in the first place. So, maybe it's the flamers who are the ones who should "shut up". It is, after all a Mortal Kombat: Deception discussion forum. So, I wanted to discuss keeping the fun in this truely awesome game. Is that really "flame-worthy"? I guess so, in a world where games no longer provide what they were created for: E-N-T-E-R-T-A-I-N-M-E-N-T.

Well I for one, hope that there are SUs. I don't think people should just dismiss the idea. And remember, boon said he wanted to do the unexpected. He said there weren't SUs. Wouldn't it be unexpected if there were after him saying it? You never know, I think people should play the game, have fun and if they come across something like an Su, let others know. grin

I hope there are SU's but I think if there were any, somebody would have find them by now...there are always some computer freaks who find out every single secret after a little while but it has been 1,5 month since the release of deception and there is still no one who has find the SU's...bummer, but besides this I dont think its very nice and fair from boon to lie over and over again about the SU's...I really dont like people who do that

hey, I wouldn't mind if there were SU's either (even if they were something krappy like Mokap and Stryker)... I'm not saying we should completely dismiss the idea of SU's; though I do believe that there aren't any
my point is this: if someone really wants the SU thing to be true, they should be playing the crap out of Deception and trying to find it instead of posting on MKO that, in their opinion, there are or aren't SUs... there are way too many threads about it anyway, and it's clogging the Deception forum... now with the release of the European version Mystification, there will undoubtedly be more...
my overly-optimistic hope was that this might prevent some from creating such a thread, but I was correct in my last post in assuming that there would be another with this topic within a week... just check the top of the page sad
