Well... you wouldn't technically be getting to control a TRUE centaur. If anyting, you'd get a minotaur due to programming restrictions.

But that would have been cool. Motaro is the only centaur in the series, despite that one pic of him with his race, running into battle. It would have been great to see the tension between the Shokans and the Centaurs.

It'd be better to see Shao Kahn manipulating both sides... yet again.

Theres no point adding another member of a species that is supposed to have four legs when the team is currently uncapeable of making a four legged character.

To clear one thing up Motaro has not turned into a minotaur. A minotaur has the head of a bull. Just because he has ram horns doesnt mean he is now a minotaur. He has always had those horns. MINOTAURS ARE DIFFERENT!!!! Trust me i'm Greek i know my mythological creatures. The team could not make him a centaur in the game, but his story will remain as though he is one or so i predict. that would be the best way to do it.

i agree motaro is not a minotaur. if anything he resembles the biblical description of satan or the devil i mean come on hooved feet, a tail and horns. i swear they've turned him into lucifer. which is fine by me i dont mind picking the devil assuming he has good moves.

now that i think about it though greek and or roman mythology as a source for inspiration in a beat em up game would be pretty cool. thats im decided im making aries god of war.

Their is an old greek myth," if a centaur becomes careless,he will lose his ability as a horse,but have the apparl of a creedence,but if he stays true to himeself and all others,he will get much more in return".Basically,motaro has turned his back on the real reason he had fought & selfishly cares only for himself while leaving his kind behind to take out the shokans himself,& in doing so,the curse must have taken effect and turned him into a creatin.But hell no he's not a minotaur,

I don't think there will be a new ceataur, or minotaur... Didn't they say that they would probably wipe out most of the characters, why would Motaro be one of the survivors???

A minotaur is half man / half bull, with a big bull-like head.

Motaro has a human's torso, a horse's body, a Ram's horns, and a somewhat Scorpionesque tail (though not quite).

There isn't anything remotely bull in him whatsoever. When they removed his back legs, they didn't give him a big ass injection of cow at the same time or anything.

If anything he's closer to a Saytr, since ala his horns, he's at least part goat, even if his legs and tail are still technically other animals.

Because they couldnt get the Centaur animations right thats why he almost didnt make the cut, by making him bipedalar they correct this problem qick and easy, and from a technical aspect I ask this, how is Centaur supposed to side step anyways if he had kept four legs?

If they turned Motaro into Lucifer then not only is Shinnok and Quan Chi in deep shit then that means Noob is a target as well since he'd wanna get back to ruling the netherrealm ^_^. Also if they do bring a new centaur in the series then they should put a female centaur in.

I think Motaro is a Centuar will always be a centuar but will just have two legs because teh four legs wouldn't work with deathtraps an such, the same reason they kept him out of decption. so they had a decision, get rid of his legs or get rid of him, they chose his legs and for arguments sake he is still a centuar but looks like a Saytr.
