smoke may have started his own clan. reason being the symbol on his boot....its a new symbol, i would do it my self (but i dont know how) could someone cut out the marking on his boot and show the pic. with a pic of the brother of the shadow beside it. they are both diffrent. if it is a new clan i believe they would be friends of lin kuei dont worry. his mask is pretty much the same as sub's if u look at it (remember ed wanted a more chinesse look) they were both part of the same clan. anyways thats all, tell me what you think.
