A possible new alliance

I want some feedback or clarification on this as I'm always confused. As I said before, the intro shows Shang Tsung and Quan Chi looking from a distance as they and Raiden prove to be no match for Onaga. We know Raiden survives because he's a confirmed character. But what about the other two? Did they form a new alliance with Raiden or was that temporary in a desperate move. Any comments or solutions................?

I remember coming up with this suggestion many many months ago when the MKD speculation had started that Raiden would team up with one of the evil sorcerers to fight against the DK. But everyone shot me down! Well hahhh!

They still are obviously not powerful enough together though.

maybe thats how liu kang has come to be in mkd? raiden, shang stung, quan chi have formed alliance and their first act is to revive the chapion known as liu kang?

I hope they survived, so we can actually see an alliance. That would definitely be very interesting.

only i can see quan chi and shang stung decieving raiden and putting a spell over liu kang and only someone like kitana or kung lao can break the spell hence the name deception
