Alright, after weeks of vanishing, hearing the news and everything about Midway's decision to leave the Nintendo Market, I've finally decided to remain faithful to the cause, and I may buy an X-Box so that I can play the new MK game. However. I'm back because I have a slight problem with the character lists and more, that we're compiling.


Did anyone here take the time to realize that most of these characters are -already- in the outworld? Yes, I know Nightwolf, Meleena, and Kabal, and the others have mysteriously reappeared.. but.. where in heck did they come from?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't every last soul taken by Shang Tsung in the last Tourney? Wasn't Earth rid of its soul's in MK3?

If my assumptions are correct, following a logical progression of a cannon story line ( granted Midway's known for not doing such a thing.. but still. ) all our characters -should- be eather: A. From the Outworld. or B. Returning Tourney people who originally didn't have their souls stolen in the first few Tourney's.

I hope I'm making a remote bit of sense here.

I honestly believe that we'll see the people that we've gotten confirmed.. however, the others.. will be entirely new. Not to heart break anyone who has dreams of ( I'm just throwing a name out here so don't yell at me.. ) Stryker returning. Unless Stryker has access to an outer worldly portal that would drop him and the "other returning" combatants directly into the zone where the new fighting is occuring.. I don't see many faces that are known returning.

This problem also brings into what arena's we'll be seeing return. Unless there is some explanation for why we're suddenly back on Earth... ( which would make no sense what so ever, because the Dragon King is ( exuse the pun ) Hell bent on taking over the outworld... ) I see no reason for new or old arena's to appear back on the Earthreal plane of existance.

Does anyone here follow my train of thought?
