There are three rules for doing scientific research. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.

Greetings,

Perhaps this already known, but from the snippets and parts I've read here on the forum, I don't think it is.

'Havik' actually means 'Hawk' in Dutch. Perhaps this could be a clue as to his nature, identity or background?

Cheers,

Well I never said that it was little more than a small passing thought, just like the topic title says.

It could be a different way to spell havoc, but then again most people don't realise that Darth Vader's name is also partially derived from Dutch and intentially hints at his identity as Luke's father (vader = father). And many have remarked that Bo'Rai Cho's name was a Spanish pun. So these kind of jokes in other languages happen all the time.

Cheers,

Ur right... I have a 100% Dutch neighbour who says Havik means Hawk...

And I don't see how it's stupid... the MK people already did Boraicho and Mavado (borracho -drunk- and malvado -evil-)

It does seem that the design team is using other languages to describe the characters. Look at Hotaru's bio. Hotaru means firefly, so when he was being designed he was given a bug-like armor. I wouldn't think any tranlation is a stupid thought. Thanks.

It probably does have something to do with 'hawks' but I don't see anything interesting about them. Unless they're atlanta hawks fans..lol
