About Kobra and a story for him and a couple others

Now I know some people are saying his name is Ben, and some are saying his name is Kobra, but if Midway is that dumb to name someone Ben, then I give up. But I guess it takes guts to give a person fighting for their life, that name. Anyway...

Do you think Kobra is just a fill in just to get rid of Johnny Cage? Let's be honest. He is a martial artist, who so far has one of Johnny Cage's fighting stances. The only differences I can see so far, is just the fact that he isn't exactly in the movie business.

Now I think a cool story for Kobra would be as follows (mind you that this would only be if Kung Lao is now deceased):

Trained for many years by his master, Bo Rai Cho, he came to seek his knowledge. Later to find out that Bo Rai Cho and the other mortals, were in peril and that a former student that he trained with, Kung Lao, was killed at the hands of the Dragon King. Now seeking to aid the mortals, Kobra traveled to Outworld to defeat the Dragon King to try and save Earth Realm, and avenge the death of his fallen ally, Kung Lao.

What do you think? Any good? If not then i'll just have to make another story for him.

I like it, but why does Kung Lao have to die? Maybe Bo Rai' Cho jusdt told him to help the other mortals. Besides "the revenge story" has been done dozens of times. Scorpion, Reptile, nearly EVERYONE in UMK3, heck even Kung Lao! Again, its a nice story though.

The point of it is just to basically stop the Dragon King. It's not to mainly avenge Kung Lao. It just doesn't seem like Kung Lao is in this game, so I get the impression that he is either dead or captured or something. Believe me, I like Kung Lao and dont' want him dead. I just thought it was a good story.

I have others for such people like Sektor and Smoke and many others, if you guys want to hear them.

That is nice, although I liked the name Ben better than Kobra.

Also, if you don't like the revenge story, then how bout this:

Ben was trained under Johnny Cage. Cage has always been called a fake by many people, and when Ben entered a tournament and lost, most martial artists considered Ben to be a "joke" and a have a "phony for a teacher." Ben, wanting to prove himself and refusing to believe he and his teacher weren't fakes, remembered stories Cage once told him about his fights for survival (note: Ben doesn't know about Outworld). Ben seeks out his teacher Johnny Cage, but to no avail. Still seeking enlightment, he travels to Shang Tsung's island from MK1 in order to achieve what he desires. (Ben knew about the island from one of Cage's stories) But once there, Ben found something strange. It was a large tunnel that seemed to be appearing nowhere. Ben knew that this might be his chance to make himself, and entered the portal to Outworld in order to complete his training and prove himself.

Sort of half-assed, but that's really the only other option than revenge if he's related somehow to Cage.

It's a good story if you are not looking for the revenge thing like you said. But I think the point of Ben/Kobra is to put Johnny Cage in the dust, but make someone almost exactly like him. I think that's the point of him.

Sektor: After forming his clan in Japan, Sektor was now seeking Sub Zero and trying to destroy the Lin Kuei once and for all. Sektor was going to take out Sub Zero, the entire Lin Kuei, and then help the Dragon King and eventually make his clan so powerful that he could kill off the Dragon King himself and take over the world. He could do this, and it would be quite simple. But there is one person who stands in his way from achieving ultimate victory.........Smoke...

Smoke: After Sub Zero reformed the Lin Kuei, Smoke returned to Sub Zero to rejoin the Lin Kuei. Smoke, not easily forgiven by Sub Zero, promises to aid Sub Zero is the help to defeat the Dragon King, and save Earth Realm again. Now with the presence of the Dragon King, and the threat of Sektor and the Tekkunin(I don't think that's what it's called, not sure), Smoke must aid Sub Zero and the mortals once again, as he did years ago.


Kabal: After being attacked by Movado, Kabal then searched for him. He heard about the death of his former clan member, Kano, who was killed by Movado. Kabal found Movado, and brutaly killed him, and took back what was rightfully his. Now Kabal must put that behind him, and defeat the Dragon King. He is not doing it for Earth Realm, or the other mortals, but he is doing it for himself.

There are more, just don't feel like typing the rest right now.

Small note: THERE IS NO FUCKING KOBRA

Gamespot, IGN, and most VG magizines mentioned Ben NOT Kobra. Kobra is just a name created by the fans of MK. Ask Ed Boon if there is Kobra, watch him laugh. lol
