King Jerrod was the ruler of Outworld, until Shao Kahn killed him and took over. He was also Sindel's first husband and Kitana's biological father.

On topic, I wouldn't want to see him make a return. Maybe if he comes back in the form of a vision (for a character's biography), I wouldn't mind.

That sounds really interesting. Kitana has the deepest storyline out of any other kombatant in the MK series. The resurrection of her father would add so much more to it, giving the fans an image of what Edenia used to be like compared to what it is now (in the storyline). The return of Jerrod would once again make Edenia a stronghold which could take the story away from the realm of Edenia making more room for some fresh storyline.
