What about including animals in MK6?

Here are some thoughts,

Earthrealm Players:

- Jhonny Cage with a lion that can be used during the battle where you do a special move and the lion attacks the other player in few seconds and then leave.

Also, Jhonny Cage can do a fatality with the lion (you may call this Animality). The lion jumps on the opponent and kills him/her as the lion usually kills animals for food (all this with special features).

- Jax has a bison...that can also be used with a special move and for a fatality.

Outworld Players:

- Kitana has an eagle that she can use when doing a special move. The eagle suddently comes down and attacks the opponent's face.

Also, the eagle can be used to do a fatality. The eagle attacks the opponent's face and takes off his/her eyes after being tortured.

- Shang Tsung has an animal soul, a ghost that can be used with a special move.

As for the fatality, the ghost attacks the opponent and enters his/her soul. The player's eyes turns white and he/she starts beating himself/herself until he/she dies.

Pleaze, I Would like to hear your comments and ideas for other characters.

(You can include half animals half robots or even monsters for outworld players).

could be good if it was applied to the story of the game, but this would have be a game other than Mortal Kombat. it wouldent fit and would damper the MK feel that has already been lost.

I'm not particularily keen on this idea. Sounds sort of odd, and really it would be hard to involve these animals in the actual storylines. New races and such are a good thing, like Nitara. But I feel things like this are best left in Killer Instinct.

Yeah it's a neat idea. I just don't think it would work well in MK. MK made it's name on being a barebones fighter with individual special moves while KI and other 2d games went all out on special moves where animals would appear to attack, etc.

I really like the idea! Very good!

I think that, NOT to damage the Mk gameplay and story there coudl be an opcion where U coudl chose to use animals on/off. I really like the idea.

I would say:

Sonya: An eagle defenatly fits for this character, just like her Mk3 animality, only it would be a real looking eagle.

Nitara: Obviously she will call some bats or something to attack you. They will suck your blood or many could come, lift you in air and then slam you.

Cage: Im not surfe why, but I think an anaconda fits this character. It woudl be sweet, I can just imagine it.

Rayden: An electric snake.

Kitana: LOL, her bunny from Mk3Ultimate was nice, also, a cat could fit her good.

Jax: A bear.

Scorpion: Wouldnt it be awesome if he could call some scorpions to attack you?

Sub-Zero: A whale???

Why would Kitana have an eagle? That should be Sonya's.

Anyway, I really don't like the idea of all the characters havin a animal follow them around the arena as they fight then out of nowhere, they start attacking you.

It doesn't fit MK anyway.

If you feel that animals shouldn't be included during the battle it's ok but it'll be really nice if the animals do a Fatality which is Animality, instead of making the characters transforming into an animal it's too unreal. I personally didn't like the idea of the MK3 Animality. I'm kind of proposing a new thought of doing an Animality in MK6.

Why Kitana with the eagle?
Kitana uses an eagle claw fighting style, she stands like an eagle, she uses her nails a lot and she has long legs because female eagles have large feet and they are larger than the male eagles' feet. Also, she's a princess and eagles always live on the top of the hills.
Hope u got the idea.

Sonya is better with a puma.

Jhonny Cage with the lion because you can see a lion's head on his belt.

I appreciate your comments.

This might be interesting, but not EVERY character should have an animal with them.

It should be done in similar fashion to the characters in Samurai Shodown, to be used in special attacks and the like.

The idea is good, but it doesn't fit the MK Storyline and Gameplay I think.

BTW: It sounds a bit like BLOODY ROAR

LOL. U gave very good points about why Kitana should be the eagle, but IMO, eagles have more of a predominant aspect, like tough liders, true hunters, proud-looking, Sonya perfectly fits there, and she even has it in Mk3!. But thats just my opinion :).

Anyway, I REALLY like this idea about using animals in Mk. I dont know, but it just seems to fot great. It would be awesome. And if people dont like it, there could be an option about:

"Use Animals on/off"

I also like the idea of INSTED of having the characters turn into animals, they could use their animals to kill the victim.

Very cool.
