There has been no evidence either way. She's got a bio (as do most characters), and she's been rumoured to have been killed by the DA, but nothing's for sure. We could see her as a Super Unlockable.

I really hope she shows up. I'm a Sonya fan but I don't mind if she sits out this game, Thers other characters I like alot to.As long as she didnt get killed im cool with it.

Sonya has chances of returning as one of the secret characters in Deception with her MKDA model.
I hope she is back, but I wouldn’t mind if she rested this game so she can return better then ever, improved and revamp in MK7.

I think that she will return as a super unlockable, cause she has a story for MkD and everything. So i think there is a high chance of it.

the only thing we can possibly do is wait till the release =P after that everything will be reveiled slowy but surely ^_^

I think Sonya will be in this game other than the prison stage and Konquest mode, I have a feeling we will see more of her.
There was alot of information about her for Deception. Perhaps she will be a super unlockable?

I had been told she was part of the secret character group. I think we will see her in this game. Other possible returns are:
Quan Chi
Mavado
Sektor
Kitana
Sareena

Well, considering the fact that she was not pregnant....at all in MKDA, the father can NOT be a normal human character.
So that takes Johnny Cage out of the “family” picture.
My guess is that either one of this 3 characters did it:
1o Reptile:
Maybe this strange dinosaur creatures have some sort of sexual power that makes the female have a 9 month belly in less then 24 hours.
2o Shang Tsung:
Satanic Sexual sorcery.
3o Dragon King:
Read and unite both; Shang and Reptiles options.

Everyone thats not in the game has a trading card tho... Of course that would explain why boon said there were gonna be alot of Super Unlockables

She's actually been around longer then most:
Mk1: Playable
Mk2: Background+Storyline
Mk3: Playable
MkU: Playable
MkT: Playable
Mk4: Playable
MkG: Playable
Mk5: Playable
MkD: Playable??? Background??? Storyline.
I only hope that if she died and resurrected, that it has a good reason and storyline, not a crappy excuse.
But I doubt she is dead. We have not seen the last of Sonya.

I hope her and Kitana make it to the game, Kitana seems to have more purpose to be in Deception, but Sonya would seem to not fit in the game, but I still hope she and Kitana make it, because IMO they both got the short end of the stick in MKDA, and Gilac, if you want a good read about Sonya maybe being in MK Deception, here it is:
