I have no doubt she'll be a playable character!

if they'd put her in there, i would have said: DAMN!!! why put in and 3d such a character, if u could just copy nitara in it, who really needs to be in deceptiopn, just give her new moves and fatalitys, and that's it, but nooooooo, they had to put in sareena...

Females characters are great and interesting but id have to agree with you on that(although i love DOA i dont want this to head in the same direction)

All I know is that I have my fingers crossed that Sareena is still in MK:D.

I'm still hoping Sareena makes it in as one of the super secret unlockables.
If she doesn't make it in, I'll be pretty pissed for the most part.
But there'll be a small part of me that'll glad there's still a chance they won't screw up her story.

what was sareena's story?

This is everything we know about Sareena so far.
Sareena is a demon from the Netherealm who first appeared in MK:Mythologies. She was one of Quan Chi's assassins but she helped the original Sub-Zero defeat him because she wanted Sub-Zero to help her escape the Netherealm. She was then shot in the back by Shinnok and believed to have been killed.
In MK:Tournament Edition it was revealed that Sareena wasn't killed, but her human form was destroyed. Her essence was banished to the 5th Plane of the Netherealm as punishment for helping Sub-Zero. However, she discovered the portal Scorpion and Quan Chi used in Deadly Alliance and escaped into Outworld where she later found a way to regain her human form without Quan Chi's magic.
After her escape she meets up with the current Sub-Zero and he offered to let her stay with the Lin Kuei in return for her helping his brother against Quan Chi. However, her ending suggests that "trusting a demon from the Netherealm does not come without risk."
I personally am hoping they don't have her betray Sub-Zero. Too predictable and a waste of her potential IMO.

in mk mythologies she was 1 of 3 asassins that worked for quan chi. sub-zero eventually killed the other two but spared sareena. later in a battle between sub and quan and helped sub-zero win. she then asked to go with him to earthrealm but was killed by shinnok. she then went to the netherrealm. in tournament edition she found a portal in the netherrealm and escaped into earthrealm. she met up with the the younger sub-zero(she helped the older one) and he thanked her for helping his brother by giving her sanctuary in the lin kuei temple.

I actually did want her in the game. I played MK:TE once and thought her story was interesting and wanted to see her in Deception. I thought for sure she would be since Deception takes place in outworld.

i hate to dissappoint all the sareena haters out there but there is a good chance sareena will be playable. frankly i hope she is in. she most likey be one of the super unlockables.
