Of course it sounds logical, which makes the lie easier. Think about it, we know the strategy guides are being put together and we heard rumors months ago that some characters could be ported over directly from DA with no new moves and no story. So you take some rumors and speculation and claim to work for Prima, and there you have it. Anyone who has read any rumor sites or visited MKO a couple times could put this story together with ease.

No one's asking anyone to believe without proof. I sure as hell don't. It just makes more sense than a bunch of fully realized new characters as super secrets.

This wouldn't be the first time the MK development team has cut corners.

There is no way in hell that they would put Quanchi in the game with the "worst fatality ever" its got to be bullshit. You think they would at least come up with some new fatalities or give them different ones.

And if they were going to put a robot in the game it would be Sektor not Cyrax.

If those are the superunlockables its not worth going thru Konquest for it. Konquest with be worth it for the other unlockables and story but that would be like mokap and blaze(crap).

Also, I haven't seen any listings or preorders for a MKD strategy guide from Prima, just Bradey Games.

if that was true midway would have found a way to close that thread because there really anal about that stuff (for example the intro which they closed down before i could see it thnx midway)
anyway half assed secret charactors don't be surprised lets take a look at the past shall we

mk1 reptile= scorp and sub together

mk2 smoke= insanely fast scorpion
noob saibot= powerful scorpion
jade= rip off of one of the girls i'm not sure

mk3/umk3/mkt= chameleon a ninja ramdomified all threw the fight
khameleon= kitana+mileena+jade
human smoke+ still a scorpion

mk4/mkg= noob= scorpions model with subby fatality and one more that was also a rip off
sektor= red cyrax from what i remember
meat= another skin for all the chars.

mkda/mkte= blaze lame looking with no orig styles moves or model with no fatality
mokap=very lame looking no orig. styles or moves no fatality
sareena= cool looking li mei
sektor= red cyrax
noob saibot= black scorpion

thats it every secret charactor (exc. mk3 robot smoke. and mk4 goro) has been a poor rehash of a playable charactor

so be happy these charactors in deception that will make appearences as super secrets are not just black scorpions or red cyraxes ok .

another note that list would be perfect if they had replaced cyrax with sektor and adeed rain and mavado every one who wanted super secrets would be happy. so stop whining we are NOT going to get completely remade all original returning charactors when all boon has is a month left before the game comes out. there just gonna be cut and paste charactors from mkda and we shouldn't expect alot more then that.

Anyway, I agree with what you said. Half assed secret characters shouldn't be a surprise.
I guess people are more disappointed about it because this time the secret characters are ones we already know. No one knew Blaze and Mokap and no one really was surprised that they sucked. But fans have been hoping and expecting Quan Chi or Kitana or whever else may return to be great and improved.
It's just that they were just overhyped. People heard Super Secret Characters they were expecting something really cool and special. They're really just bonus characters thrown in for fun.

well.....even though i don't believe this guy...it could very well be true....but to be honest...i think that midway (HOPEFULLY) will improve upon the charactars at least giving them a new fatality instead of just cutting a pasting them on to deception from D.A....i for one wouldn't mind seeing quan chi and shang stung come back as part of the story...but who knows... i'd also love to see a super unlockable shao kahn...haha..it wouldn't be hard to bring the shao kahn from the D.A. fmv into the game and give him an original moveset...but that would require work on midway's part...and they fear work
