Reptile's primary fighting style in Deadly Alliance was Hung Gar as well. Does this mean anything?

maybe im looking too far into it but that would mean reptile is most likely NOT in the game as a playable character because Hung Gar was his fighting style (crab was kinda weak, it was cool but wasn't rememberable as a great style) but reptile could return with a whole new set of fighting styles.

also, looking into it more, if you corolate fighting styles to characters, then that would mean Hung Gar is of Reptiles race (or just him specifically) could it be that Baraka and Reptile have a connection because they share the same fighting style?

...how in the blue HELL do you survive in the world?

1) A fighting style is no connection between characters. How obvious is that?

2) Reptile not being in the game was pretty much a know-how for a looooong time. Considering the Dragon King...and Reptile's DA ending...His chances of coming back are very slim.

I don't think so, But hey, It's cool that Baraka has Hung Gar. It's a good style that i think will deffinately suite him.

I think they just figured Hung Gar had a beastly or animalistic quality to it. I mean, neither Reptile nor Baraka is human, so I guess they figured Hung Gar would look better to the fans being used by another non-human.

And when you said maybe Hung Gar is of Reptile's race, did you mean they developed it, or just adopted it? Obviously Hung Gar is a real style of kung fu, so Reptile's race didn't invent it. And does it ever say how long the rest of Reptile's race has been extinct? Because Hung Gar is only a couple hundred years old. Maybe it was introduced to Outworld shortly afterward (perhaps by Bo Rai Cho?) and became popular among Kahn's troops.

Well...Hung Gar being the Tiger/Crane style it is...it does kind of suit Baraka. However, a style like Krav Maga would be better suited for him.

Even styles are not set in stone just yet. Deception isn't even half done. So Hung Gar could have just been taken from DA to do tests.

But I would love to see it. I liked that style very much.

Yeah nothing is for sure. Remember the E3 demo of Deadly Alliance? It had Shang Tsung with Tai Chi and a staff, and Sub-Zero with Tai Chi and Tae Kwon Do. So I think we have a few months to go before we start getting specifics on who has what style.

I absolutely agree. IMO Krav Maga and Musti Yudha would go 100% perfect with Baraka. There brutal styles, and brutal is something that fits Baraka, as well as Power.

If they couldnt think of any good styles for Baraka, they could've just made up a style for him that has powerful punches and kicks. Maybe they could've called the style something like "Nomadic".

He probably isn't in the game based on what we know so far, but Hotaru has the Pi Gua fighting style that Scorpion used in DA. I dont really like that they switch fighting styles around. I would rather have them share fighting styles, but different variations of the style.

Not really. I think they gave baraka Hung Gar because they were too lazy to make a new style. Just like what they did with other charcters.Millenas sai stance is the same as lei mei's and frosts.Which makes me worry about this game.....

They still haven't finished the game. Styles can change. The ones they have right now might not be final, however I do agree upon the fact that Hung Gar does not suit Baraka.
