Anyone here think Shao Kahn should be faster?

I completely think he should be faster. So yes. But you also have to think if he is a playable character then that would give him an unfair advantage. Just a thought.

Even if he were faster, it wouldn't change the fact that the majority of his moves in his styles are garbage. So..I'd rather they'd do the following:
1. Have more useful moves in both Tai Tzu and Wrath Hammer
2. Make Tai Tzu more accurate
3. Add combos in Wrath Hammer

Whatever few moves he has in either style, he can still do massive damage. There has to be a balance: either make him fast or make him powerful. He's powerful, but I don't think he'd terribly slow. I just hope if he returns in the future, he does have a more varied move-set.

ya he seems to slow thats why i hardly ever use him,but hes still good even if hes not that fast
Shao Kahn's fighting styles are good. Trust me, I played Groy's Shao Kahn yesterday and it was a bitch.
If he was fast like Subzero and could jump like him, he'd be even better. The only reason I was able to beat his Shao Kahn was because of his mobility issues. Other then that his special moves are some of the best online. They are also safe.

Which of his specials are his best?
We also have to think about his throw, which, although does more than 5% damage this time, it still kind of sucks...

His throw is one of the best in the games. Not because of the damage it does but because of how quick it comes at you. Its easily the fastest grab in the game. Extremely hard to avoid.
Also, his Charge comes out extremely quick and is almost impossible to antisipate.
His d,f+3 move is very safe too so you can spam it like crazy.
He also has a health recovory move.
His d,b+2 move is also great and does good damage. Its pretty safe.

I would take increased speed for him over increased strength. The game basically gave him a boss character's attack power and speed, but didn't make him a true boss character (i.e. he can still be thrown, doesn't do the "boss style" fatality moves).
It would be nice to make him faster, and would be more realistic.....but then he'd be unstoppable. We just have to play with him as he is.......even if it does means getting my ass whooped by Nitara.....

no, the game needs balance. Strong guys need to be slower, and vice versa. The only way i'd approve this is if he was the boss again.

I use Shao often and I really understand what you are trying to say,but his moves(Certain ones) are very handy as if you come into trouble.
Why worry about speed when you have power?
He is considered a "punisher" by the Prima guides standereds.......But im really not sure as to what I woud consider him as.
Any thoughts Subzero2?(as to what you would consider him as in a typical rank?)

Not at all, Kahn is a big boss and big bosses shouldn't be fast.
What one makes up for in speed is power, and what another makes up for power is speed.Kahn is not an "athletic" character like some others. Also, yeah he carry's a huge freaking hammer. If someone carried that around how fast would you move honestly?

Just to remind myself why I hate the stereotypical Lumbering Hulk idea:
Bigger boss: bigger structure ->longer steps, bugger musculature, greater velocity and acceleration. Hell, by reason, bosses should be faster in truth.
The only thing that may be hard for them is adjusting once that mass is in movement. ...
On the topic: Kahn is a tad bit broken, but not as much as Shang Tsung for example. In the latter case, not only is he broken, but he lacks any proper non special move, and you cannot live from special spamming in any MK game...

Not to turn this into a tier list broken thread, but those two are the least of your worries and nothing compared to the likes of Moloch, Blaze, Sareena and Noob if you want to talk brokenness.
And Shang Tsung sucks in MKA, if anything he's not broken enough lol.Only good thing about him is that you can spam his soul drain

If I carried that hammer around for thousands of years I'm pretty sure I'd have built up the muscle mass to move at a sufficient speed
