Arcade mode wish list
Like everyone here, am eagerly anticipating MK vs DC. However, here are a few things I'd like to see for arcade mode:
1) A longer battleplan (No more 6 fighters and the boss and game over). We'd like to fight more characters!
2) Characters not glued to individual backgrounds (Since MKDA, you meet the same fighters in the same arenas). You should move to the next arena (in a cycle form) regardless of who you fight and whether you win or lose. I think it would be alright if the Bosses had character specific arenas.
There...that's not much to ask for, was it?

I'm totally with you on that. But while on the subject of arcade mode, i wish they would go back to the old way where there were a bunch of colums to choose from. I hate having to always change the difficulty settings.

Have endings for each character.
AND THEY MUST BE CINEMATIC ENDINGS!
Tekken Does It
Dead Or Alive Does It
Soul Calibur Does It
there is no reason to not have them.

One more - they should make every arena fightable. In Armageddon (excluding the Konquest specific arenas), a couple of good arenas, like the meteor storm and evil tower, were not in.
Doubt this would be a problem for MK vs DC, seeing as there won't be that many arenas - But You Never Know!

1) No repeating ladders.
2) FMV endings for each character.
3) Create your own ladder feature (both opponents and arenas).
4) Cut scences galore.

how about a destined battle, like in soul calibur, and its always your counter part.
Like, before the final boss, or sub-boss if there is one, you fight your counterpart.
For example, Sub Zero would fight Batman before the final boss.

I think Arcade Mode should be completely randomized. Random fighters in random arenas. Not like, "Oh yeah, I remember this battleplan."
Also, I want "Test your might" back. Something to ease the tension between battles.

I really can't see them giving FMV endings for each character. Whilst most other fighting games do it, Mortal Kombat always seems rushed out. I mean we hear about Soul Calibur IV being released years before it actually comes out, but it's only been a few months since MKvsDC was announced and the game is coming out this year. Boon has stated that they're still adding stuff, so the way I see it is that they won't be able to add any FMV endings within the time frame.
To me, I think they should wait to do really cool endings with Mortal Kombat until the next game. I mean, yeah this game will be off the charts when it comes out, but I don't think they should push their luck with animated endings for this game.
Though with the Arcade Mode, I really hope they fixed this. Armageddon's issue with their list was that you were fighting the same people over and over again. I never fought against Sub-Zero or Repitle... I fought against Reiko all the time, Rain... though when I played the game couple weeks ago and tried the hardest difficulty in the game, I was shocked to see one person I never fought against, and it was Kahn... woo was he a pain when they have you pinned in the corner.
Though I really hope they fixed the list. But with what I've been reading and hearing on this site and updates, is that the arcade mode will be completely different, so techincally, I really can't say too much about this sudden change with the Arcade mode. But still, I would hope by now that Midway considers fixing the list after a failure with Armageddon's list.
