Or will you be satisfied with a normal version of the game. Games, movies, etc. with "extra" content makes me very conflicted. I'm an extreme penny-pincher, but I also want the most out of my games. I'm the guy who scans EBAY for a Lord of the Rings Extended Edition box set for under $10, finds it, then gives up and decides to wait until the obligatory 12-disc three movie extended edition trilogy pack... then wait another year and search fruitless for it under $40. I'm thinking about doing the same for MK:D Special Edition, but patience has also never been a virtue I excelled at. So, what will YOU do? Do you consider the Special Editions worth the price of admission, or are you happy with the game alone? Fatality.

I'm hoping it is, because it's the one I'm getting. I know a lot of people are getting it just for MK1 Arcade, but playing MK1 Arcade after playing MKII Arcade just isn't cool. It's like having a date with Cindy Crawford and then going back to an ex. It's alright, but you know it could be so much better. wink

I'm getting it for the video bios and stuff. I'm such a sucker for DVD features.

About Me

Geez, I've been a member since MKDA was just a pic of Scorpion and Jax looking at each other and I have less than 2,000 visits. I should really log in more...

Well since they've said it'll only be $10 extra and considering the features it'll have...I'd say it'll probably be worth the price. I know I'll probably get it if it's available where I decide to buy it.smile

MK1 arcade and a discounted strat-guide and possiblly a t-shirt are well worth the extra 10 bucks.

I'll buy one for myself. For Christmas, I'll buy my friends the game if I really like it. I just wonder if the Special Edition will still be around by Christmas?

Gotta go with the SE. If for anything, I'd go for the first MK. I haven't played an "arcade perfect" version of the original MK since......shit.....back when it was out in the arcades. Besides that, I'm a huge fan of the story so the video bios and history will own.

yes, I have the original MK II arcade machine in a corner of my lounge, and there just isn't room enough for the first game.

No home version has come close to the original arcade version - the SNES was closest but without the blood - so for all of us who've been waiting this is like a dream come true!

P.S: It wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that MK 1, 2 and 3 are unlockable extras in Deception. They've already got the games coverted to work for each console, there's no additional work needed to hide them in there.
