Armageddon update ideas

This thread is for features you would like to see in a future update to MKA. What would you guys like to see?

Features
The smaller-sized Blaze, along with his much bigger form in a different character slot. Some unique moves.

Khameleon across all platforms (she has only appeared on Nintendo consoles so far, so I am wondering if she is an exclusive to their systems).

Motoro with hind-legs as an alternate costume or perhaps in a different character slot (I think it would be interesting to see how his body would move around and such; if this replaces his second costume, it would just change the animations of some of his moves a bit). Some unique moves if this takes up a new slot.

All characters incluing bosses have two fighting styles (some would have two fighting styles or a weapon slot as the other; an example would be Moloch having his ball as a weapon, but Blaze would have two fighting styles).

HD. Smoother and more fluid animations.

Add more items to Kreate-A-Kharacter.

Add to the Kreate-A-Fatality system.

More modes such as Tag Team.

Shang Tsung the ability to shapeshift into all other characters. Maybe a notation for each character or one notation which changes him into a random character.
More levels and secrets to Konquest.

An overhaul to the properties of moves, such as damage and frames. Read this as a guideline to what I think should be done (only to make most moves usable; most of the other changes I wouldn't want, so as to keep the original Armageddon feel). Also no more infinites or combos going above 100%, which were so numerous in Armageddon.

Have two Konquest modes where have the original Taven-based one and also another one where you play as Daegon, learning what he did through his journey and what would happen if he was the one who had defeated Blaze.

I love this thread idea! MKA could use so many fixes.

Give everyone their original combos back from MKDA/MKD. That includes their fighting styles. Yes, I know, characters swapped and shared fighting styles from MKDA to MKD. But that's okay. It's not silly to assume that two people know the same fighting style.

Give everyone their fatalities back! For the new characters, give them new ones (duh). Bosses should have fatalities as well. Characters who were in MKDA and MKD should get all three of their fatalities (ie Sub-Zero). Throw out Hara Kiris.

Bring back every single stage from MKDA and MKD. The majority of MKA's stages were garbage to me. The only one I thought was cool was the "Meteor" stage (because it reminds me so much of MKII's Pit 2) and Kahn's Battle Arena (so many ways to die).

Include Khameleon in all versions of the game.

Give Motaro four legs.

Give everyone a bio and an actual ending rather them performing a kata on the Pyramid of Argus. Oh, and rewrite every ending so they don't suck ass.

Bring back the ability to impale your opponents with your weapon which causes them to bleed to death if they do not kill you first (featured in MKDA)

Bring back Test Your Might and Sight!

Bring back Chess and Puzzle Kombat. Also, bring more characters into Puzzle and Motor Kombat.

Give alternate costumes to those who do not have one (Chameleon, Khameleon, Daegon, Blaze, Onaga, Meat, Moloch, etc.)

Include a Tag Team feature similar to Noob-Smoke for an enhanced game play experience.

Improve Kreate-A-Fighter to allow players to take costume features from pre-existing MK characters. Also allow custom characters to borrow the same weapons and special moves from MK characters (all of the moves, not just some of them). Most importantly, balance the hell out of KAF.

Last but not least... allow more than one fucking Kreated Fighter to a profile!!!!!!

I agree with you Blacksaibot. I think Armageddon could have been a great game if it weren't for all of its shortcomings.

What an EXCELLENT list, blacksaibot!!!

Except, u forgot the exclusion of Air Kombat. I think it was pretty stupid to see the kombatants flying around like Dragon Ball Z fighters. Its bcuz of that, and having only one open-hand fighting style, the combos were not as cool as they were in MKD.

I think they should have included more characters:

Fire God
Earth God

Ah yes, Air Kombat was quite stupid, wasn't it? How could I have forgotten that dumb feature? Probably because I've performed about 12 air combos during the thousands of hours I spent on that game.

I would definitely like an update of Armageddon. Maybe for like the 3DS or something. There are somethings that could be fixed like the missing bios and what not.

Too bad they can't since they lost the Renderware license to EA.

I loved MKA and still do but there were several things i felt were lacking.

Like some of you have already mentioned:

Boss Blaze AND human Blaze should have both been playable.

Noob and smoke separate, sure but Noob-Smoke tag team as an EXTRA.

i own a Wii but all the features on there really should have been on the other versions too (Khameleon, endurance mode, pop-up uppercuts from ground.)

chess kombat would have really kicked ass with so many fighters to choose from.

motor kombat could have had more characters, arenas and better playability mechanics

Reptile really should have kept his bizarre-looking yet primal-so-fits-the-theme crab fighting style.

Daegon's story in Konquest mode

Motaro with hind legs (therefore NOT throwable)

Those things being said, the things that worked worked well:

Chameleon's & Khameleon's transparent skin.

A full (if not completely) roster of characters

i actually liked aerial kombat, but there was always the option not to use it and just use juggle kombos instead

bigger range of special moves, (yes some were borrowed, but it was better to have sonya, kano & reptile with more than 2 specials like MKDA!!)

Kreate a fighter was limited, sure, but a groundbreaking idea giving the creativity to US the players.

there's more but i can't really explain infatuation, i just loves it

Yeah, I totally agree with you on all of those! I actually loved MKA. It was a very fun game.

No doubt it was fun... but the only thing that made it fun for me was the improved mechanics of Konuest and Kreate-A-Fighter.

I will be honest, selected maybe 4 real MK characters when playing that game. 99.9% of the time I only played the game with my KAF. That's just how bad I think they made the characters.

Deception had such a longer replay value to me. Konquest in MKD had so many more hidden secrets too.

Mortal Kombat Armageddon will always be the game I go back and ask myself "What happened?". This could have been a BRILLIANT game if only Midway didn't rush and gave the MK team as much time as they needed. With the exception of the large amount of characters, Armageddon really has nothing to offer. And the arenas were VERY dull and uninspired. They really could have thrown out those boring Konquest arenas and just given us more DA/Deception ones.

Anywho, here's my list-

-New default costumes for the Deadly Alliance characters(Keep the other two as alternates).

- Characters get ALL their costumes from DA AND Deception so that means some like Li Mei or Scorp will have four costumes in total.

-Bring back all the DA/DECEPTION arenas and possibly update the DA arenas with death traps.

- Bring back Puzzle and Chess.

- Have all the characters be available in Motor, Puzzle, And Chess Kombat.

- 2 on 2 and 3 On 3.

-Small Blaze of course.

-Make the boss characters able to do air kombat.

Make those changes and I'd totally go out and buy Armageddon 2.0 like a sucker. Or maybe they can just make it downloadable on PSN and Xbox-Live. Oops, I forgot one thing- The addition of Khameleon.

God I hope Boon or someone reads this. lol.
