Awakening Kochal?

I defeated Kabal, Kobra, and the one red-head, but the only thing I got was 1000 Onyx Koins. Is there really a Kochal?

the red head is Kira
and there seems to be no kochal unless its the portal which would be stupid but...

I don't think Kochal is an unlockable. The oni that mention him being a three-headed oni also say that he can transport oni into the city of the Netherrealm so I think he's nothing but like a portal gatekeeper in the Netherrealm.
