Backgrounds/Music in MKD

is it just me, or did MKDA lack

a) Dark, eerie backgrounds. There were a couple, but most of the levels in MKDA were sandy/ 'rustic'

b) Dark, atmospherical music.

Who agrees that the MK team need to put a stronger emphasis on atmosphere/aura for MKD?

I do agree on the fact on the lack of the eerie backgrounds, but the eerie music would kind of make it pretty dumb to me.
