it does look cartoony... but I wonder what the high res pic will have... possible a new arena.... since superman's in metropolis.... more likely gotham will be released.....

i just remembered, that they are using Unreal Engine 3, so judging this render, its not good. Maybe a full render will change my mind but now it kinda looks like an action figure.

I just can't stand the way they used the grey cartoon version of the Batsuit, while they could have used one of the black rubber batsuits that we see in the movies. The Batman Returns batsuit is perfect. But i guess it could create some copyright problems... could it?

Anyway, even if it did, they could have designed an armour based on the black ones from the movies, and not this.

Looks a little too cartoony. It's an Ok render I guess.
The problem with the Superman render was that ,for me, it kinda looked like an action figure.(His hair looked like plastic...or way too much use of hair products)
This one looks...Ok.

Agree. The render looks exactly like an action figure from the earlier cartoons. Batman does look menacing or dark in any way, just plain and boring. Same with superman!

I guess as far as iconic goes, they're best choice is sticking with original costumes, however, why that doesn't goes for the MK team, I don't understand.

Anyone?

Yeah...that's DC right there, I remember in one of the earlier interviews Boon/DC said that DC didn't want to give Batman that "movie or modern look" but rather an oldschool comic look with a cool edge or something like that.

I think a lot of people think it's cartoony because they picture the show, but if you look up close it doesn't really look cartoony. His suit looks rubber like(which it is I believe or at least partially)

I hope his alternate is the all black suit, we'll see.
