I'm with you. I've been looking forward to MK 1 on the console since I learned about the promotion. Of course, after about 15 minutes the suspense will kill me and I'll dive into MK:D, or beat MK 1 once with Sub to remember the "good ole days" then dive in. My blood pressure just went up.

Ermac will be my first trip into MK:D, Then Sub-Zero (he's always been my favorite). I was ecstatic to learn Ermac returned, which is odd considering i never played much with him in any MK 3 revisions.

I don't know to tell you the truth.Theres so much to do in MKD.

Same. I forgot about MK1

I've already been playing MK1 to pass the time until deception, so its highly unlikely that I'll play that first.

I will still play MK1 first, and save the tempting one for last. Currently I've been playing MK1, MK3, and MK Trilogy to pass my time. Every once in a while I'll play UMK3, and MK Gold too. But I'll be saving Mortal Kombat Deception for last.

-See "Citizen Kane"
-Buy "Circle of Iron" and "Best of the Best" on DVD
-Buy the I-Guide DVD for "Mortal Kombat: Deception"
-Take 2 exams
-Take 4 quizzes
-Turn in one essay
-See "Shaun of the Dead"
-Film a comedy-fight sequence for my Intermediate Video class
-Wait for UPS to drop off my "Police Story Trilogy DVD Boxset" and watch all three movies
-Gas up my car about three times
-Confirm with Electronics Boutique that my copy of MK:D Premium Pack has arrived
-Pick up MK:D
-Read the instruction manual for the game when I first get in the car.
-Get home
-Turn on my PS2
-And pop in... MK1
Hey, I'll need a hell of a lot of free time to kick back and relax with MK:D... might as well start off slow with nostalgia from 12 years back!

Plan on grabbing a coke and some chips, popping in MKD and not moving from that spot for about 12 hours (except to get more drinks, snacks, and see to it's side-effects) I'm furtunate enough to own the actual MK1 arcade so I won't be playing it first. But I'm excited that I'll now be able to play it on my new 32" TV. Plus my arcade has been freezing up lately. So it's cool that it's FINALLY hitting the consoles in arcade form. To be honest I think you should all start with MKD. That way if it's pissing you off or you find yourself disgusted by it... you KNOW you've got MK1 to fall back on.

before i put the game in my PS2, i have to finish paying for it.....

Before I boot up Deception on the sixth I will watch all 25 video bios on the bonus disc.
MKI hasn't really interested me in 11 years, since MKII came out.

Take the day off from school.
Turn everything off in the house.
Get some food, light some candles in the shape of the dragon.
Listen to Immortal.
Plug in my X-Arcade.
Put on my fighting gloves.
Trun on my 7.1 surround sound.
And then plug and play that SO.O.B for the next six hours.

1.) I will walk around in Walmart talking to various friends that work there holding the game like a badge of honor.
1a.) If I have to wait to for personel to get the game out of the display case I will proceed to look at the strategy guide until they do so.
2.) I will go home and call up my best friends Lance and Nathan and tell them to come over, possibly another frined
3.) I will order pizza and load up on the Pepsi, and play some Konquest mode while I wait for my friends to arrive.
4.) I will proceed to have a cafeine-driven night of sensless violence with my best friends unlocking all the secrets possible within one night.

i will pick it up from eb games, go get some beer, call my friends patrick, bongo, and kelly, play mk 1 until they get here, then play mk all night... and i have the next day off work... so you know i'll be playin konquest all day unlockin shit.

Oh absolutely, its the best way to go, to start off reliving the old to bring in the new. Cap it off with Sub-Zero's original head-rip fatality then its off to Deception.

Same here, except i'll look around at the new mini games (puzzle kombat and chess), play my bro (if hes home) in a couple of matches, and then play the Arcade!

-I will pick it up as soon as my local EB opens. I will then bring it back home around 11:30am. I will play till 1:30pm, mostly gettin a feel and playing some puzzle mode.
-I'll work from 2:30-11pm. Get home around 11:30pm, load up on Mountain Dew and Burger King and Iam off to the Konquest Mode.

I am playing 1 a day until the 5th...

and MK: Deception on the 5th!
