Don't get too excited. We don't even know what he looks like. But I do think he has potential. I hope that one of his custumes is a red gi top with black pants and a dragon design on the back. It's plain but it reminds me of Van Damme's movie Blood Sport.

Bloodsport is wicked man, so good. I have all that guys movies... aside from the two newest ones which never came out in theatre. I will get them though, and I agree that that costume sounds good.

I don't know why everyone compares this guy to Cage, I think of him more as a Liu Kang, and I somewhat hope that he perhaps becomes the new Kang (even though he's back) in a way.

You can bet he aint gonna have a spinning fly kick guy.This aint sf,the only similarity you may see is the name,but think again if you think your gonna see some sf moves.

I would love to see a spoof on ken masters. Dan was made to make fun of the character design people that left capcom and went to snk. They are the ones that made robert and ryo for art of fighting. Thats why dan looks like a combo of the two and wears a pink outfit. And as far as I can remember (capcom vs fighters history) way back when even if the characters look the same, and have alike moves. Lawsuit is not going to happen again it was a losing battle for capcom. So bring on Ben Masters. Dragon punch?

I'm not sure yet that Ben is going to be a Ken Masters type character. It's entirely possible, but Street Fighter hasn't been mainstream popularity wise since the VS games died out about four years ago. Why would the MK team make a character mocking street fighter several years after the popularity of the series died out? I know that the two game series were rivals back in the 2-D age and all, but you'd think that MK3 would've had a character like "Ben Masters" or MK2 perhaps, not MK6. Not in 2004.

I think the Ken Masters thing was just a joke. Perhaps people are sticking with it because Ken and Ben rhyme, and Ben is supposed to be a martial arts champion. That's where the comparison to Cage comes in. I believe that Cage was a martial arts champion before he became a movie star, but I could be wrong on that.

I could also be wrong on the whole Ben thing, but I have a feeling that he'll be his own stand alone character. My one fear with Ben, Kira, and Ashrah is that one sounds like Cage, one looks a little bit like Sonya and is black dragon, and the last one is similar in look to Rayden. I swear if the MK team pulls another Jarek, and does it several times in this game, I'll be pissed. If Ben plays like Cage, Kira plays like Sonya/Kano, and Ashrah plays like Rayden, then they should've just put those characters in the game. Hopefully, my fears will be put to rest when E3 hits.

To me, Ben just sounds like the average karate guy you always see in beat em ups, and they're almost always pretty boring. Hopefully Ben will turn out better, otherwise we'll have the next Hsu Hao, killed after one game, and few people caring.
