And as for it being better than DA, im nto so sure. But I think that that is because I like less characters in Deception than I did in DA. Maybe if more of my favourites or liked characters were in Deception, eg, Kitana, Kung Lao, Sareena, Shang Tsung, Hsu Hao, Kai in place fo say Darrius, Noob-Smoke, Scorpion, Kobra, Kira, Liu Kang, then Id be happier with it.

Deception is definatly the best MK game ever, but MK2 is still a hellafun game.

I would have to go with MK2 being a bit better than MKD. I do find MKD to be the best of the 3d fighters even though its missing fighters I really wanted to see again.

Why is MKII the best? I call it a turtle-fest, whether playing against the comp or a human.
UMK3 is the deepest and most evolved of the 2D's. That's why I like it most. Still, it is gratifying when you actually beat Kintaro and Shao Kahn (Especially if you use the duck-in-the-corner trick).
MKD is the best 3D though.

I think MKD is the best so far due to the new elements added.

Of the 2D games UMK3 is my favorite.
Of the 3D games MKD because it's a little better than MKDA.
The fight engine got some small improvements that I like over the MKDA engine but then they messed some stuff up from the previous game.
Improvements= juggle throws, faster walk, unblockable throws.
mess ups= They made the delay time after many attacks way too slow.

Not sure I see how you can possibly consider this the best mk ever. It's got horrible balance the top characters are pretty much unbeatable. There are easy to do and hit infinites and some characters can do far too much damage on combo's easily. The combo breakers are laughable and the recovery on most moves is nothing short of stupid but what do you expect when you fire people for speaking their mind on the flaws of the game. Deception is the worst MK so far IMHO and thats a feat with how bad MK 4 was. This of course does not count gold and trilogy which are actually balanced worse but eh..

I do not agree that this game is the worst in the series, I believe it is the best gameplay wise. I do agree with you on the balancing issues however because lets face it, Bo, Jade, Shujinko and Dairou are rediculous in the hads of a competent user. Speaking of the older MK's, they were fun but really didn't pull me in game play wise due to the fact that every character had the exact same basic move-set with the exception of special moves unlike the Japanese 2D fighters whose characters were unique and offered a wide range of player options and styles. MKD is the first MK to really feel like those 2D games when it comes to play style variety. Ermac feels different than Scorpion, Jade feels different than Mileena and so forth.
The breakers are far from usless, you may not be using them at the right time durring the game. Most players that I have encountered waste the breakers in the first round and thats just dumb. If you start to juggle me so be it, I wount wast the breaker unless I have less than half of my vitality left or the juggle that is being done is insanely powerful and I'm close to losing. It's also good to use them when near a death trap. I have been able to turn the tide of many matches using the breakers so you may not be using them when you should.
Dispite what the nay-sayers have said about this game I find it fun to play even with its balance issues. I found ways around much of the shit that the top tier characters pull and that makes the game even more fun for me when I can whip Bo's ass with Kira. The only thing that I can say is if this game is not fun for you, just simply return it and never come back to it again. That is what I do to games that I do not enjoy. Thats my take on MKD.

I think that UMK3 is definetly the best. Me and my friends sit down and can play that for hours on a weekendly basis. I like it a lot because of the characters in the game and also i like the 2d fighters a lot. The 3d fighters like deception are cool but in my opinion there is a lot more running at each other and just beating each other down in the 2d because there is no side stepping.
