i actually like darriou. his moves are wack, but i like his fighting styles. his special moves suck, his fatalities are tight, and his hari kiri sucks the pysduck.
darrius is a devistating character if you can use him right. all his finishing moves suck balls. like they could have not ripped off jax anymore. i mean, hes black, he almost resembles him, his fatality involves arm ripping, and his hari kiri involved the temple smash. just i think the MK team would think about these things, but apparently not.
havik is kinda cool, albeit original. i havent really fooled around with him yet, nor kira.
hotaru i think is the shit. hes my favorite new character. he just screams "i fucking rule". they can make him so bad ass in the next games.
ashra is lame. kobra is okay, but still wack.

it's nothing too crazy, but it's good for intimidating an opponent right off the bat when you're playing online.

Noob and Smoke aren't new to the MK roster.
My favorites are Hotaru and Kobra. They have good storylines and great moves. Hotaru's lava burst + combo is a great way to get a victory.

I like Havik and Ashrah best. I hope they stick around for a while.
Kobra and Kira are okay. Even though Kira isn't very original I think she's cool. Kobra's okay even though he's kind of bland.
The whole Order Realm story bores me. Hotaru, Darrius, Dairou...I really don't care about any of them.
I don't like Shujinko either. No original moves. His styles are Kung Lao's. And I just don't like him as a character. I really hope he doesn't become the new "hero" of Mortal Kombat.

Ahhh yes. I've been thinking about this for a long time.
Kobra is a definite plus in my book, I hope he stays permanent in the MK universe. He just has the look and the moves - I don't know. It's like a Tekken character kicking the crap out of people with blood flying everywhere.
Kira- boring, boring design. Ugh. Needs a serious makeover. There is no redeeming quality here. It's like they ripped off Bloodrayne and gave her all of Sonya and Kano's moves.
Havik- very interesting. I love the idea of a meditating priest of Chaos. I don't get why he looks like a dead guy but still he's pretty cool.
Darrius- ok. He's got cool moves, but his 1st costume is HORRIBLE. Ugh. Maybe it is the colors, I don't know. It looks like a catcher's uniform on the chest. He's better than Jax but not too interesting.
Ashrah- I like her. Good moves, unique design but the hat thing needs to go. Story is decent, I like it that she's trying to redeem herself but has to crucify living demons to do it.
Shujinko- undecided. Like the design, I think most love him.
Dairou- Ok, I like the idea of this guy, but the outfit is half-assed. Simplify it more or change his face, his design is blah. He could use maybe one more special move too.
I LOVE WHAT THEY DID WITH ERMAC. He is definitely the best redesign this time around. Wow. The mystic float move isn't my favorite, but man he looks bad-ass and I like the moves other than mystic float. Very good job.
Liu Kang- undecided.
Nightwolf- I loved him in MK3. In this one, BORING. Good moves though, stupid fatalities, hara kiri is lame too. I don't think his moves need to change, but he needs to be fleshed out more.
Sub-Zero- get rid of the helmet, keep the chain-link mask with the animal fur suit. Like the addition of the ice clone. Great fatalities and hara kiri!
Scorpion- meh. Love the character, interesting twist that he's a good guy working for the Elder Gods. Character design isn't really any different so I wouldn't mind him in say, a white ninja outfit for once. Like the flame sword.
Bo Rai Cho- like the character alot. He's unique, and can kick ass if you just give him a chance. Good initial moveset and design. Decent story.
Kenshi- nice new outfit, little has changed
I'd have more but I feel the itch to play

Well, I would say Noob-Smoke, but they've been around. I think I'm partial to Ermac, he kicks Kenshi's ass all the way around the board, his fatalities/hara kiri are cool, and if used right, he can be the strongest character in the game. I don't like Kira, she is just a bloodrayne ripoff, and Kobra looks like he was put in the wrong game, he should go back to Tekken. Hotaru doesn't sit with me right either.

The New Characters in MKD are a hell alot better than those in mkda. and its about time they added a female blackdragon member to the roster. i aint got no problem with any of the them, except kobra just a little weird other than he's moves kick ass. Ashrah,Havik,Kira,Hotaru are on top of my list.

Kira is my favorite new character. I dont mind her having other characters fighting styles. I still enjoyed playing as her and hope she comes back for MK7 with some new moves so people wont be saying shes has sonya, and kanos moves. I like her character design, I think MK needed a bad-ass red head female character. Shes the only new character I really liked. Darrius being the worst one. I think the characters that were new in MKDA were much better than most of the new characters in MKD.

Kobra had a decent premise, but to me, it never seemed like it developed correctly.
Ashrah is pretty damn cool. I wouldn't mind if she stayed around for a while.
Darrius is cool too. Nice use of moves.
Dairou.....is okay. Points for his weapon style.
Shujinko is defintiely cool, but I think they may have drawn themselves into a corner storywise. What can they do with him in future games?

My two new favorite characters are Ashrah and Havik. Ashrah is awesome and Havik is badass.

Kira, only because I had to play as her since Sonya wasn't in the game. In the next one, Sonya better be back and decapaitate that little poser.

Until they make Kira unique in some sort of way, because her entire character/movelist is a ripoff, I don't see her being interesting enough to ever bring her back.

1.Ashrah, i think she has chance of staying in the mk world, she has so much potential with her storylines.
2.Kira well she needs to have her own moves, and needs to have a better storyline than shes does in mkd, but on the plus it's a about time they added a female character to the blackdragon ranks and she is ruthless as well. and she could be good foe for sonya.
3.Kobra is needs to come up with a better storyline and a needs a improvement on the character design.... but on the plus side he has cool move set already thats that would work well for him in the next game.
4.Havik just awsome i hope he just not another one hit wonder.
as for the rest of the bunch im sure they can be greatly improved just like li mei improved greatly from mkda... i say give the rest of the new guys another chance.

Agreed about Kira, even though she has Sonya's and Kano's moves, i still like her, great combination, IMO. And i also agree with you about Darrius, him and Dairou imo are lame and boring (story-wise) they couldve had other characters instead of these two "D" guys.

Havik: I think he is one of the best new characters, because he is very original and doesn't have any attacks that are similar to other attacks that other characters already had. His story is very interesting too, which can continue on for a while.
Ashrah: I think she is another one of the best new characters, just because she looks so different from all the other girls, and she adds like a total different view of how women are view in MKWorld(meaning not all of show a lot of skin). Her moves are also great, they can be similar to other past characters but I think if fits her perfectly.
