I suppose for they wanted a real challenge for the ultimate Mortal Kombat. Although, on a side note, I thought that Blaze was sent to stop the kombatants destroying the realms. So if you beat him...doesn't that mean that everything gets destroyed? I havn't really been paying attention to Blaze's storyling or the MKA plot. I'm gonna wait till its out before I do so I've probably got this all wrong.

he will probably get shrunk down for the fight, but i have a feeling we might have a fight similar to onagas, where you have to destroy surrounding objects to weaken him.

i think Blaze should be hard, Onaga was simple, even on max.

Oh...well, then maybe you should start looking into his story then. Destroying Blaze doesn't mean that everything gets destroyed. That's as if you're implying Blaze is the One Being, which he isn't. He's a firespawn created by Delia.
Anyway, this thread should be closed. There've been enough Blaze threads in the past.

I agree 100%.
Also, if you watch a video of MKA from E3, at the beginning of arcade you see Blaze, where he is at the top of the ladder, his movements are the exact same as Onaga's in MKD. I assume he will be no bigger than Onaga just hopefully without any objects like said above.

I wonder who will ally with Blaze and if the memory potion played a part in his story as from the Konquest mode in MKD.

Actually, my contacts at Midway have given me a bit of info.
Blaze is actually unbeatable in terms of punching/kicking him, however, because of poor planning on his part, the arena you fight him in actually has both a suit made out of asbestos, and a fire extinguisher. When you get both of these most holy implements, it is possible to throw down with him on his own terms. Also, after you beat him in one round, you fall down a staircase, losing your advantage. Unarmed, Blaze is once again unbeatable in the usual sense, however, luckily, there is a phone nearby. If you manage to get to the phone and dial 9-1-1, a cutscene will play as the Fire Department of the Outworld will show up and put out Blaze.
However, there's a twist. Following the defeat of Blaze, it is revealed that it was all a deception. Blaze's arch nemesis, Smokey the Bear, used you to defeat his opponent. And so, your warrior must stand alone, and face a bear in a stupid hat that carries a shovel.

Behold, the true face of MK Evil!
