does anyone else think that there will be appearances in this story mode by NPC's. for example we know someone like smoke wont be in the roster but in the story mode do you think there will be cameo roles? i would love for blaze and sektor to make some sort of appearance, who would you add and why, where would they fit in this merger of the universes?

I think a good idea for an arena would be Arkham Asylum. You could have all the Bat-villain cameos you'd ever want.

An Apokalips stage would allow for guest appearances by Parademons, the Female Furies, and other New Gods characters.

I could also see a variant of Kahn's Arena from MKII, with more characters shackled up around the circumference of the ring (assuming the ring is circular in nature).

As for story mode, I'd like the number of cameos to be kept manageable. I don't want to see an overabundance of kombatants or heroes showing up and then neither being playable or fightable. Though I'd be less pissed if people like Alfred or Lois Lane have cameos, as I don't really expect them to be brawling.

that would certainly open up possibilities of strange appearances from some characters. i just feel a few mk guys deserve an appearance in some shape or form

and the dead pool if its not already a stage that you can play/fight on in the actual game...

i agree about the dead pool that is and always will be my favourite stage, for music atmosphere, everything i absolutely love it!!!

haha i take it you dont like it, going back on topic it would be good to see for example 2 NPC characters from DC and MK fighting in the background of an arena your fighting in like in the pit 2

I remember hearing that the finale of the game will have a big brawl at the end, so an arena with a bunch of NPCs fighting, while presumably difficult to pull of technologically, would be cool.

i think technologically the mk team are guilty of being lazy, gta 4 has loads going on at once as does mgs 4, mk team could do it

if mk is ever to reclaim the throne it lost after trilogy, although many say mk2 or umk3, it must improve from background animation to interaction, theres no point in gimmicks and pleasing fans but a few cameo roles wouldnt go a miss havik though a new guy to the series would fit in well with the madness of this new mk!!!!

Ohh, I'd just love if Ermac, Fujin, Smoke and perhaps Cyrax or Sektor someone like that made a cameo appearance on MK's side. Especially Ermac and Smoke, Boon did confirm in one interview or at least a few I remember him saying that there will be characters within the storymode that aren't actually playable in the game
