The only explanation I see is that they used Sonya in Konquest to hint us all about Frost, this kind of feels like a small clue that was given in “disguise”, something o think about Frosts true intentions in that game and possibly her future involvements.
I guess Sonya was the right character to use when it comes to sensing evil and seeing more in depth peoples souls/hearts and not just the “superficial” first impression. It was interesting to see how she paid Frost more attention then the rest, even Sub-Zero.

Yeah, it true that Sonya has a hard time trusting people, but I thinnk with the stakes being so high this time...I think she can trust Sub-Zero enough to fight along beside him. But Sonya has always had that ability to seek out people who are good and bad. Like with Frost, she knew from jump that she was up to no damn good. That's a quality most people don't have yet need.

I can see your points and agree with everything. If we are lucky, we might get some small confrontation from them in MKA, maybe Frost will join one of those clans that will force Sonya to, one way or the other, met her in the way and fight her.
I too see this as a minor rivalry at the moment, nothing serious but with good development, it could become something great and interesting. There are plenty of good ideas posted in this thread that prove this.
So far though, its just Sonya hates Frost and Frost hates everyone.

WOW Keith!!! Excellent excellent post. That was something great to read, a perfect analysis on more then just the 2 characters we were focusing here and very deep, definitely something worth to read.
I agree with you that, for one game, it seems impossible we will see all we want, including a more developed rivalry between this two. Sonya and Frost both have bigger things to worry about, though it would be a great touch to see them met in the way and have some sort of cat fight...till death.
