Of all of the confirmed characters in Deception, which I'm happy to say there are now many of, the subject of the least speculation seems to be Hotaru. His storyline is still shrouded in mystery, we've seen very little of him, and he looks intriguing, yet no one seemed too enthused about his presence at E3.
Is there a reason no one seems too into this character? Was he revealed too early on? Should the MKD team have kept his details a closer secret? Right now, Hotaru seems, in my mind, one of the most likely characters to be ignored in Deception. The modern day Hsu Hao, if you will.

They're foes? I wonder where they first crossed paths.

I've seen a lot of people say their favourite new character is Hotaru, he won't be as unpopular as Hsu Hao, more the opposite, once I've played through the game as Sub-Zero Hotaru is diffinately second on my list, Samurai's in MK is a big step in the right direction
