Since smoke is returning to MK:D he must be returning as a cyborg. Im wandering what his story will be like. Will sub-zero meet up with him and ally with him. Sub-zero probably doesn't even remember smoke, because he has disappeared for a long time. I don't think he should be on the good side. We already have cyrax on the good side. Smoke should be reprogrammed by the dragon king to retreive the dragon medallion from sub-zero. tell me what you guys think or talk about anything that has to do with smoke.

Why in the hell wouldn't Sub-Zero remember him? Sub-Zero and Smoke were best friends. Would you forget your best friend after 8 years? I wouldn't.

Well the makers of MK obviously don't care about Sub's and smoke's friendship by leaving him out since MK3. Smoke has great potential at being a character that everyone loves like sub and scorpion. I can't wait to see what he is like in MKD.

yeah I don't see Sub-Zero forgetting Smoke, that would just be... well... illogical... anyway it was said that Smoke will be neither Cyborg or Human Ninja, so him returning as Cyber-Smoke might not happen... and him being reprogrammed wouldn't work either seeing that he has a soul and his programming means nothing like Cyrax... Sektor is the only one without a soul to speak of... I think at least

If smoke returns, Id be willing to bet that its in his smokey ninja attire. Id also be willing to bet hes a deceiver as well

if smoke is ever going to evolve as a character and not be left out for another 3 games he needs to be distanced away from this idea that he's just coming back to help Sub-Zero.

A new non human/cyber look that has bin spoken about would help along with his own fighting styles.

i know that midway had certain limitations when they making MK 1-4 which made certain characters palette swaps with different moves but human smoke was a grey copy of scorpion and his cyber form was a copy of sektor.

up to now smoke has never been his own character, his story, clothes and moves have revolved around others, he needs a complete make-over in every aspect if he is to be one of the better characters in Deception

IT's gonna suck if he only has his Nija outfit because nothing beats his cyborg bad ass look. If he's neither human or cyborg then wtf is he a Smoke cloud lol.

smoke is my second fav character in mk im really looking forward to his return.... i dunno how he's gonna be but i've got high hopes.... i would like him to have a robot and a human form to please both sides of his fans equally... would be awesome if each form had some unique moves to it like the cyborg moves and then in human form have some new moves... im hoping he gets his own move set and isn't like scorpion theres no reason to keep with that.... but he still might have the spear but he better have all other brand new moves if so....

It will be hard for them to give him both cyborg and ninja form. They will have to make human and ninja two different characters. Cyborg shoots the spear out of his chest and human shoots it out of his hand. They might not even give human smoke the spear. But i like the idea about him havin different moves for cyborg and human.

No, he was only claimed to be "Neither human nor Cyborg" by various "insiders", Konqrr was one of them.

The only thing confirmed about Smoke in the 2 interviews he was mentioned is that he'll be in the game, nothing more. That's the only offical info we got about him.

loooool..."his cyborg badass look" is just a palette swap of cyrax and/or sektor...lol...and how could he return in both forms? that wouldn't make much of a sense...how can a guy be in one day a human being with blood, flesh and bones and in the following day he decides to be a robot with circuits and chips....

It's neither confirmed nor denied. They are not saying one way or another. They are saying that Smoke is in it, but they won;t say in what form. They might not even know yet.

I think that since Smoke won't be coming back as a human or cyborg he could come back as an entity. His body would be made of vapor and would turn solid when he strikes. You would be able to make out some features, like his glowing red eyes and weapon, along with some of his clothes. As for his story, I would like Smoke to be a much darker character, almost like Sektor. His friendship with Sub-Zero would be over and he has his own reasons for fighting in the next tournament. Who knows, Sub-Zero might find him self on the recieving end of Smoke's fist.

I think Smoke should stay good/neutral. Sub-Zero's already got two "allies" ready to stab him in the back: Frost and Sareena. Smoke doing the same thing would be played out. I don't think Smoke should be as nice and honorable as Sub-Zero, but I think they should remain allies.

Smoke has always been on the neutral side. He has always been an ally with sub-zero even as a cyborg. Who knows what form he will return as. I hope it isnt a cloud of smoke, because that will be stupid. Im saying that he has to come back as a cyborg because the last time we saw him was in cyborg form. It would make sense to bring him back as a cyborg. Im hoping they dont make him look like cyrax from MKDA and make him silver, that would suck ass. They better not give him all those flashing lights that cyrax had either. I know smoke is in the game as a cyborg, i can prove why. You know on hte MKD select screen where the character with the square head is. That has to be a cyborg and the only one it could be is smoke. Sektor or cyrax werent ever confirmed.

My guess is either Smoke's a cyborg (the blacked-out one on the select screen), or if the rumors are true he's a solid gray, etheral Lin Kuei warrior made of smoke.

If the second is the case, my guess is he spent his extneded absence taking part in some Outworld ritual that gave him this new form so he could escape his robot body. Would explain how he got to Outworld for the events of MKD: he was already there.
