To me not really. I mean I've always wanted to learn how to use more than one character in a MK game. Like you I always choose the characters that interest me. In Deception I can handle I think 6 or 7 out of the 24.

I think they are making it harder to play with different people, having to learn so much more. But I play as everyone except Shujinko, Bo Rai Cho and Noob-Smoke.

well for one thing, Kitana was always my favorite, until i played Li Mei in MKDA. i instantly fell in love with her. now she is my favorite character of all time. until i played Tanya but not quite made it to number 1 in my book. so maybe....

I've always been a Scorpion man, and always will be, but the diversity between the kharacters makes gameplay that much more fun to me. I find myself now going into a fight saying "Hmmm, who should I be this time?" I do have my favorites that I pick over the others every once in a while but really, I play with almost every fighter with the exception of Noob-Smoke, Ashrah, Tanya & Hotaru. I don't like them for some reason : P

I have always liked to play with the 'real mortal' kombatants, Kung-Lao, Liu Kang and since MKDA, Kenshi.... but in MKD it's been Ermac or Nightwolf ( I still havent unlocked Liu in MKD and Kenshi is harder to play with and doesnt have san sou style )

Hmm, I use the following characters as my all time favourites and I'm pretty good with them: Shujinko, Bo' Rai Cho (good for starters, and he's not cheap) Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Hotaru.
I try to master as much characters I can, but it is impossible, since there are som many warriors to choose from.

MK2- Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Scorpion, Baraka, Rayden
MK3- Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Sektor
UMK3- Liu Kang, Reptile, Sub-Zero, Sektor, Scorpion
MKDA- Reptile, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Mavado, Nitara, Raiden, Kano
MKD- Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Noob-Smoke, Baraka, Scorpion, Jade, Kira, Raiden, Dairou, Darrius, Ashrah, Tanya, Ermac
well Johnny Cage ive only liked in the first MK and have hated him since MK2. and in MKD i like a lil over half the roster. well as u notice i didnt plsy with Noob Saibot, Smoke, Jade, or Ermac in UMK3 even tho they r in it. reason is is cuz i dont like them in UMK3. Noob Saibot to me felt very cheap and seemed to be for "noobs". Smoke i didnt like cuz he was just a rip off of a few characters. i didnt like that. Jade i thought just pretty much flat out sucked. Ermac i thought was alright but didnt really like him tho. not sure y really. well now in MKD i really really like them. and guess what? they r some of my most fav chars ever now. well Noob-Smoke is me 5th fav now. but either one alone i still hate so i hope they stick together like this. Ermac is my 7th fav now. Jade is well... all tied up actually with Kira and Nitara for 10th. but ya i know completly how u feel dude. i mean 3 of my most hated characters r now 3 of my top favs and now is Ermac too.
