I can't see the animals matching up to Animalities. I mean, does it make sense for Reptile to return seeing as he became Onaga? I might be wrong, but I kind of assumed his role in Armageddon was just for completion's sake.

You know, These seem, to me, likely candidates for return in mortal kombat 8.
Why you ask?

Mortal kombat 8 was to be more serious. Kabal is a very serious looking character who cuts people up with hook swords and wears a strange gas mask thing... Thats cool

Noob Saibot is badass. He's dark, angry, tough and mysterious. Theres so many things midway could do with him.

Reptile is very interesting. A half animal ninja, with interesting powers and a unique character idea all around.

Rain... Rain could be in the next game, but he will be a lot different. The point is he is mysterious and has a lot of potential.

The point i'm trying to make is I believe mortal kombat 8 will be very different than previous games, and that it will take the IDEA of characters and REINVENT them giving them each defined play styles and personality's. Perhaps disregarding some or even all of their story so far, to effectively "wipe the slate clean" and start anew, for better not for worse.

This should be encouraged, because this will give midway the opportunity to really create an amazing game that isn't full of story holes etc.

Mortal kombat confuses the F*** out of me these days, and the thing that I want most is a new, evil, awsum and FRESH fighting game set in a re created mortal kombat universe.
