Characters likely to be included because of the clan links

Let's break down the clans that we know are included in this game already. It may also help us speculate and work out which other characters may be involved if they have dealings with particulars clans.

Lin Kuei - Subzero --> Has links to Smoke, Sektor, Cyrax (SF now), and Frost

Special Forces - Kenshi? Would be safe to say that atleast 1 member (Jax or Sonya) would be included. If one of these is included it would be a safe bet that a black or red dragon member would be included.

Black Dragon - Nobody that we know yet, but possible if SF or Red Dragon member is in the game.

Red Dragon - Nobody that we know yet, but possible if SF or Black Dragon member is in the game.

Brothers of the Shadow - Noob (linked to??)

White Lotus Society - Nobody that we know yet, but Kung Lao if anyone. Liu Kang dead?

Edenians - Sindel is confirmed - Most likely that Kitana will be in and Rain possibly? I would like to think that Shao Kahn is also linked to Sindel. No word of Tanya..

Earth Warriors - Nightwolf is the only confirmed (linked to??)

Centaurians - Nobody that we know yet

Shokan - Nobody that we know yet

Nomads - Baraka & Mileena confirmed (linked to??)

Oni - Nobody that we know yet

Reptile - Still not confirmed yet, but very likely to be involved.

Others: Raiden is always involved with the Earth Warriors


I know there are plenty that i have missed, but off the top of my head it's all i can think of.
There are some safe bets I think, since the clans are always linked somehow.

Any thoughts?

Well since the Dragon King is the final boss, perhaps there will be a new dragon race that could be playable. That would be sweet. And u also forgot about the vampires=Nitara is SO hot.

The brotherhood of the shadow was the basically the cult of Shinnock, so yeah, Shinnock is directly linked to noob.

Ahh yes Shinnok. Him too.

Reiko was Shinnoks general wasn't he? It would be good if Reiko was a deceptor to Shinnok and defeated him to take his place.

Or atleast there is the link to Reiko if Shinnok is around.

thats actually a pretty good outline of what we can speculate, well laid out rather then the messy predictions people have been making without any evidence

this might not have too much to do with your links, but im making a prediction...

ever since turning good Cyrax has been rather weak, when Sonya and Jax saved him maybe he joined them just so they dont kill him right there on the spot...im thinking deception...

thatll give the special forces/cyrax a fresh storyline

but its like a circle...
special forces have a lin kuei link (Cyrax), linking to Sub Zero whos linked with Mavado, whos linked to Kano and back to special forces...

the one thing that is hard for us to speculate on is that we dont know the purpose of some of the returning ones from the past (example: Sindel, Nightwolf), their stories might change immediately which could link to more characters

I dunno...this is confusing, does anyone find it weird that Liu Kang is the only MK1 character dead so far? (the playable characters...not Goro)

I think some of the originals are gonna get killed and im looking right at Sonya, shes the only one who doesnt have a strong case to survive from the first MK...I doubt theyll have most MK1 characters surviving this long, someone has to go

If one of the dragon clans were to be in it, I would like Kano to be the warrior.

I was never a fan of Mavado, Jarek or Kabal. But that is my own.. Many seem to like both Mavado & Kabal

I think it would be good for the story if Sonya was killed off. So I go agree with you about that

I dont know how much MK:TE will be recognized, but Sektor and his Tekunin clan may be a force to be reckoned with. Since they're enemies of the Lin Kuei, its possible the Tekunin and Red Dragon will ally against the Lin Kuei. And if I recall Noob is no longer tied to the brothers of the shadow, and Shinnok is dead.
